Role Overview
The Dispensary Agent will meet with medical marijuana patients one-on-one and guide them by suggesting products specific to their symptoms. The Dispensary Agent will be responsible for providing a high-level of personalized customer service and patient care while also being responsible for point-of-sale transactions, cash handling, scheduling patient appointments, order deliveries, and managing inventory. The Dispensary Agent will meet all patients with professionalism, poise and patience. A passion for cannabis coupled with a strong adherence to protocol and compliance are a must for this role.
Role Responsibilities
- Train for and adapt to several roles in the dispensary to meet day-to-day requirements: waiting room service, 1-on-1 consultation service, checkout service and inventory management are areas of proficiency.
- Demonstrate high level product knowledge while remaining translatable to seasoned cannabis veterans and brand-new customers alike.
- Adhere to and promote a culture of compliance as it pertains to state and company regulations.
- Assist and support team members with positivity and proactivity in all day-to-day matters.
- Managing time and respecting protocol under fast-paced retail conditions are a must.
- Perform deliveries via company vehicle to patients placing online and phone orders.
- Perform a daily inventory reconciliation of active products (excluding storage)
- Perform a daily cash closing report
- Respect rules, guidelines and company standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with VT Medical Cannabis Program rules and regulations.
- Ability to acquire a state credential by passing required background check. Violent felonies and drug offenses are considered disqualifying by the State of Vermont.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and valid car insurance.
- Proven organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with staff members and managers.
- Efficacy with technology and point of sale systems.
- A fundamental understanding of cannabinoids and their effects on the body.
- Customer service and/or retail experience.
- A passion for cannabis that is translatable to a diverse group of ages, ethnicities and professionals.
- Required Training
- The Dispensary Agent must receive HIPPA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) training to assure patient confidentiality
- The Dispensary Agent must receive training in, and adherence to, quality control requirements by completing our Quality Control Training.

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispensary Manager to oversee retail operations in our Montpelier, VT dispensary, Vermont Patients Alliance. The Dispensary Manager will be responsible for managing professional dispensary personnel, inventory purchasing and tracking, supervising compliance, security and safety, reaching sales goals and bonus targets, and the general day-to-day matters for their assigned store. You will communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to implement and maintain store goals, protocols, policies and procedures in accordance with company standards, as well as communicate broader company objectives and standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervising all operations of retail sites, customer service center, and delivery program in accordance with the State of Vermont Rules and Regulations and standards set by the Company.
- Oversee the purchasing, pricing, and sale of inventory on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis.
- Communicate with and direct employees to assist with information gathering for all inventory regarding special patient orders, employee patient samples, weekly deals, and menus (online and in-store).
- Adhere to and promote a culture of compliance as it pertains to state and company regulations.
- Assist and support staff training in accordance with company and state requirements.
- Regularly communicate with and update higher levels of management.
- Regularly communicate with the marketing department to manage community engagement, store promotions and events, and customer communication across a wide range of platforms.
- Manage and communicate staffing needs for their location
- Perform other duties as assigned by their direct supervisor, the Director of Operations
Requirements
- Familiarity with VT Cannabis Program rules and regulations regarding dispensary management.
- Ability to acquire a state credential by passing required background check and any other requirement listed.
- Willingness to travel.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Proven organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Efficacy with technology and point of sale systems.
- Working knowledge of inventory and sales reports.
- 4+ of years’ experience in a retail management position.

Job Description: Vermont Patients Alliance (VPA), a medical Cannabis dispensary in Vermont, is seeking an experienced Cultivation Assistant to join our growing team. VPA is committed to delivering high quality medical cannabis and exceptional patient care to Vermont medical patients. The Cultivation Assistant will be responsible for the daily oversight and maintenance of VPA's cultivation. A standout candidate will have experience successfully cultivating plants indoors at a commercial scale, possess an understand agricultural laws, and have demonstrated experience with inventory tracking.
Basic Roles:
o Assist with the scheduled maintenance of plants o Perform all tasks on daily plant maintenance schedule o Perform daily tests and cataloging database results o Daily database plant numbers, condition, and treatments applied o Monitor and maintain cultivation equipment o Maintain cultivation workspace as directed by Cultivation Manager o Perform all job duties as defined by Cultivation Manager and specified by DPS rules and regulations.
Required training: The Cultivation Assistant must receive HIPPA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) training to assure patient confidentiality.
The Cultivation Assistant must receive training in, and adherence to, quality control requirements, by completing the VPA Quality Control training.
Authority and Supervision: The Cultivation Manager shall oversee that Cultivation Assistant is fulfilling their responsibilities
Performance Evaluations: The Cultivation Manager will annually review the performance of the Cultivation Assistant and report conclusions to the Director of Operations.
