We are expanding our manufacturing operations and seeking to add an inexperienced, dedicated, and passionate Entry Level Extraction Technician to the team. The Entry Level Extraction Tech will operate the extraction and pre-processing equipment on a daily basis, requiring strict adherence to all safety and compliance procedures, including GMP, state and local laws, and safety standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must follow all applicable policies, procedures, and guidelines. This includes the safe and proper operation of any/all applicable machinery, instrumentation, and equipment
- Promote a safe, consumer-focused, and collaborative working culture
- Daily operational and safety checks within the extraction room. Prepare raw materials for extraction
- Work as part of a team to meet production schedules.
- Record data in all necessary software platforms
- Good communication skills, verbal and written, with co-workers and management
- Practice good housekeeping habits throughout the facility with focus and personal contributions towards a clean and organized assigned work area at the end of the assigned shift
- Contribute toward a desirable workplace culture
- Capable of working with hazardous chemicals and able to identify and report unsafe equipment, conditions and practices so that they may be corrected prior to an incident. Flexibility and the ability to shift work schedule according to production needs.
- Intake of newly arrived frozen cannabis
- Tracking of cannabis freezer inventory
- Working under the instruction of the process and post-process department leads to ensure the efficient operation of the manufacturing line
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Thorough understanding of proper and safe handling of hazardous materials
- Inventory management and Inventory tracking systems experience a plus
- Prior METRC experience a plus
- Prior management experience a plus
- Must be 21+ years old to apply
- Background check required
- Use gauges, calculators, scales, grinders, and various electronic items
- Advanced Math Skills
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Computer competency with Google Apps, and phone apps as well.
- Science, or empiricism understanding and background.
- Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
- Previous experience with hemp or cannabis extraction equipment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Be able to stand for prolonged periods of time, bend, kneel, squat, and twist
- Ability to use Hand-Trucks, pallet jacks, dollies, and carts to move larger and heavier items. Strenuous hand, forearm, bicep, and shoulder work. Long hours using heavy tools manually crushing frozen cannabis flower in a sub-zero temperature environment. Manual and machine washing of dishes with solvents.
