STRAIN is a white-label, branded mobile APP and platform for Android and iOS that brings cannabis dispensaries closer to their customers. It is the only all-in-one mobile APP and platform for sales, marketing, and customer retention, with a real-time connection to the dispensary POS. STRAIN enables customers to keep up with special offers, rewards programs, cannabis wellness news, dispensary locations, new products, and online ordering across all digital channels.
We are seeking high-energy and motivated Regional Sales Managers (RSM) to represent our startup as we continue to expand our market share as the leading mobile APP and platform for dispensaries in the cannabis industry. The RSM is responsible for selling STRAIN’s software as a service (SaaS) to cannabis dispensaries in a defined geographical territory. The RSM is also instrumental in planning, building and facilitating the sales execution strategy while leading the implementation of our tools and technologies.

The ideal candidate for this role will be an individual who is capable of effectively planning, building and scaling strategies in a rapidly evolving industry. The RSM should possess an entrepreneurial mind-set, have significant sales experience, good project management skills, and strong analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research to identify the needs and scale of an opportunity
- Support the company in market expansion
- Identify potential target segments and create lists of target dispensaries
- Master our CRM “Hubspot” and other software tools
- Create accurate pipeline forecasts, and track all sales activities in CRM system
- Generate leads via email, phone, social media and cannabis platform
- Generate leads with cannabis dispensaries or manufacturers
- Conduct product presentations (onsite/online)
- Negotiate and close long-term contracts for SaaS solutions
- Develop and champion sales execution standards
- Work with the sales team to develop training material to support the execution of the standards
- Analyze business results to develop reports and recommendations
- Lead KPI development and administer the sales incentive program
- Monitor sales performance against goals and carry out regional analyses to contribute to business planning
- Work with sales leadership to create action plans against field sales opportunities
- Work with cross-functional team of marketing, operations & development
- Support the development, integration and continuity of our products
- Ensure customer success
- Organize and facilitate regular communication with sales leadership to align on priorities, goals and execution strategies
- Maintain active engagement with prospects to provide feedback on how to better improve funnel and performance
Requirements:
- Desire to work in a start-up environment
- Tech-savvy + SaaS experience
- Experience in lead generation, outbound calling, qualifying leads, and advancing the sales process
- Self-starter that works autonomously, motivated by reaching numbers/goals
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Excellent written communication skills and the ability to craft strong sales and prospecting emails
- Positive and energetic, strong verbal communication skills, excellent listening skills
- Flexibility and ability to work across time zones and go the extra mile
- Ability to travel to conferences
Experience:
- Experience in B2B SaaS sales
- Experience in CRM management
- Experience working with retailers and partners across multiple sales channels
- Excellent communication and proven experience of delivering demo presentations to a commercial audience
- Ability and confidence to identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders of varying levels
- Understanding of field sales processes and responsibilities
- Strong business acumen and sense of ownership
- Results-oriented with a proven track record of accomplishments
- Experience in CBD/Cannabis or relatable industries is an asset
