It includes a 473-bed community teaching hospital, a 76-bed inpatient psychiatric facility in Westport, a large multispecialty provider group, and special needs services for adults and children. St. Vincent's is the first hospital in Fairfield County to be integrated into the Hartford HealthCare network, and is the system's second-largest hospital
Founded in 2003, the National Dispensary of Hope is a leading provider of pharmaceuticals to uninsured patients through a growing network of dispensing sites across the country sustained by local partnerships. The Dispensary has collected and distributed tens of millions of dollar's worth of pharmaceuticals and filled more than 200,000 prescriptions for patients who otherwise couldn't afford them. The Hope Dispensary of Greater Bridgeport is dedicated to serving low income and uninsured individuals in the Bridgeport Community
Pharmacists perform functions related to the control, monitoring and dispensing of medications for all age groups of patients according to department procedures and protocols in a safe, cost effective and timely manner. Supervises medication preparation by pharmacy technicians and advises nursing personnel regarding appropriate medication administration. Pharmacists promote the rational use of medications via provision of drug information and clinical monitoring services to members of the medical community
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
- Pharm.D. preferred
Minimum Experience
- Current CT Pharmacist license
- Excellent customer service and communications skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred

Pharmacy Technicians assist Pharmacists the Dispensary of Hope. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Processing and filling prescriptions accurately
- Assisting the customers of the Community Pharmacy
- Working with our specialty pharmacy liaisons to ensure the needs of our specialty patients are met.
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma required or equivalent.
- Associates Degree in Pharmacy Technician program in preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification is strongly preferred
- Pharmacy registration with Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection within 30 days of hire and by March 31st of each year.
