Scientific writing for reporting, data management reporting, and ability to follow standard operating procedures a must. Sample preparation and analysis for cannabis using qPCR and routine microbiological methods. Willingness to follow internal quality system. Familiar with Oklahoma State regulations for cannabis preferred. Implements and maintains appropriate quality control processes and procedures to guarantee accuracy of analysis and quality of results. Performs review of reported data and associated quality control and preparing reports for delivery to client. Responsibilities may include general instrument troubleshooting.
Must have a history of working in a production laboratory and an understanding of meeting deadlines. Must understand calculating workflow, turnaround times, and streamlined approaches. Must be able to prioritize and multi-task and have flexibility in working various shifts.
Optional: Knowledge of ICP-MS and GCMS

Chemical extraction, sample preparation and analysis for cannabis using LCMS/MS, GC-MS/MS, HPLC, GCMS, ICPMS (must know one or more of these processes preferably on Shimadzu/Agilent). Willingness to follow internal quality system. Familiar with Oklahoma State regulations for cannabis preferred. Implements and maintains appropriate quality control processes and procedures to guarantee accuracy of analysis and quality of results. Performs review of reported data and associated quality control and preparing reports for delivery to client. Responsibilities may include general instrument troubleshooting.
STRONGLY PREFER SHIMADZU/AGILENT EXPERIENCE, LCMS, GCMS, HPLC, or ICPMS for production. Must have cannabis laboratory experience and be familiar with production protocol as required by OMMA and ISO 17025. Job Description:
This position is for the role of General Laboratory Assistant at a locally-owned marijuana testing laboratory based in Norman Ok.
Tasks required for this position will include various administrative duties (front-desk, research, writing, and customer service), as well as light laboratory tasks (inventory, sample intake, sample preparation, data entry, and report writing).
This is a perfect job for a recent or soon-to-be science graduate with interest in developing skills in analytical chemistry, microbiology, molecular diagnostics, and/or laboratory operations. The right candidate will also be highly organized and detail-oriented, motivated to grow, quick to learn, personable and customer-oriented, and work well in a team. There is opportunity to grow in this position; qualified candidates will have the potential to train and move up as the business expands.
Must have excellent customer service skills – including in-person, by phone, and by email. Ideal candidate is someone who has a science degree and is interested in growing a career in laboratory sciences. Writing, research, and graphic design skills are also valued.

Key Responsibilities:
- General laboratory tasks: research, writing, inventory management, record maintenance and documentation, assistance with sample intake, preparation, and processing as needed

- Customer service: answer phone calls, take messages, and coordinate customer communications
- Vendor communications and coordination; scheduling, data entry, and record-keeping
- Visitor operations: monitoring, checking in, issuing badges, and monitoring logbook
- Assistant with customer-facing content creation as needed, including research and writing
- Maintain safe and clean administration area in compliance with company policies and procedures, including relevant rules and regulations

Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in biology, chemistry, or related science (Preferred)
- 2+ years of experience working or volunteering in laboratory or other regulated environment (Preferred)
- Organized and able to effectively prioritize tasks and multitask efficiently as needed
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office and/or equivalent) and office skills (printers, scanners, etc.)
- Willing to learn about and understand federal and state regulations for the cannabis industry, including safety and privacy considerations
- According to state regulations, must be 21 years or older, able to pass a background check, and obtain required state registration.

POSITION SUMMARY: This is a technical position responsible for the collection and testing of samples of various chemical compounds and biological specimens. Daily work involves the routine and repetitive use of various types of machinery, lab equipment and programs to perform tests, record data or findings and present information.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Prepares and weighs product samples; performs repetitive/routine testing activities to include accessioning and pipetting
- Documents results pertaining to strength, stability, purity, chemical content, and other characteristics
- Assembles data and other pertinent information into groups, charts, graphs, reports, and the like for others to evaluate
- Helps to set up laboratory equipment and instrumentation required for testing activities under the supervision of team analysts
- Utilizes problem-solving skills to help to determine when an apparatus may need to be recalibrated or requires servicing
- Restocks inventory supplies used in various testing activities; provides for the weekly cleaning of glassware
- Records and verifies log entries for various pieces of equipment/apparatus including balances, incubator, refrigerator/freezer, etc.
- Complies with all established safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations designed to ensure a safe work environment
- Expected to perform other job-related duties as assigned
