Wellness Associate
(Medical Cannabis Pharmacy Agent - MCPA)
Pure UT is seeking a Wellness Associate to help maintain a patient-first, compliant, and team-oriented culture. We are looking for a candidate that is passionate about helping patients find alternative therapies and relief for their chronic health conditions.
Our ideal candidate has experience in a retail or hospitality environment, attention to detail, and has great communication skills for interaction with a diverse array of patients and employees.
Wellness Associates engage with patients from the time they enter the pharmacy until they check out and exit the facility. They ensure that each patient’s needs are fulfilled and that they have a best-in-class experience. Wellness Associates will be responsible for cultivating a safe environment for patients, caregivers, and fellow employees.
Job Responsibilities
- Engage customers and create a best-in-class experience.
- Follow established policies for sales and patient service.
- In-depth knowledge of all available products and strains.
- Accurate cash handling and discount application.
- Verification of patient’s status through state repository (Electronic Verification System).
- Accurate data entry and record keeping in patient profiles.
- Management of patient recommendation letters.
- Regulate the flow of patients onto the Sales Floor.
- Assist with ongoing and scheduled inventory as needed.
- Handling of all incoming phone calls.
- Become proficient in using Point-of-Sale software (MJ Freeway).
- Responsible for maintaining organization and cleanliness on the pharmacy sales floor and shared spaces.
- Labeling of prepared medication for dispensing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2+ years of high-volume retail or hospitality experience (additional consideration to those who have patient related retail experience or have previously held a valid pharmacy technician license).
- Minimum 21 years of age or older.
- Bilingual preferred but not required
- Must be able to pass a criminal history background check.
- Available to work during operating hours and after hours for inventory.
- Computer proficiency.*

Job Description
Pure UT is seeking a Part-Time Staff Pharmacist to cultivate and maintain a patient-first, compliant, and team-oriented culture. We are looking for a candidate that is passionate about helping patients find alternative therapies and relief for their chronic health conditions.
Our ideal candidate has extensive experience in a Pharmacy retail environment, good attention to detail, and great communication skills for interaction with a diverse array of patients and employees.
The Staff Pharmacist will be responsible for consulting new patients via telehealth and in-person, and dispensing recommendations to our patients while strictly adhering to Department of Health regulations. The Staff Pharmacist plays an integral role in ensuring the pharmacy’s ability to acquire and retain patients through a best-in-class experience.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide face-to-face consultation to all new patients regarding cannabis as a medicine and how it may help their qualifying condition as well as potential risks.
- Reports directly to the Pharmacy Manager.
- Comply with strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Perform periodic inventory audits.
- Develop familiarity with and maintain the Department of Health mandated Inventory Control System software.
- Ensure proper sanitary and hygienic conditions throughout the Medical Cannabis Pharmacy.
- Determine dosing parameters for patients if not provided by Qualified Medical Professional (“QMP”) - patient’s recommending medical professional.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of all available medical cannabis therapies, products, delivery methods and strains including those in inventory and outside of inventory.
- Ensure ongoing personal compliance with Utah’s Medical Cannabis Act regulations.
- Opening and closing the Medical Cannabis Pharmacy.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong organizational and periodic reporting skills.
- Computer proficiency (Excel, Word, Google Suite, etc.).
- Passion for helping patients in need find alternative therapies.
- Commitment to working with patients and staff from a wide range of ethnic, economic, and social backgrounds.
- Ability to recognize suspicious and drug seeking behaviors as it relates to substance abuse.
Education and Experience
- Registered Pharmacist in good standing with the State of Utah.
- Experience with inventory procedures and controlled substance record maintenance.

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour

Operations Associates are responsible for the intaking of deliveries and overall organization of limited access areas. They ensure that the Medical Cannabis Pharmacy is consistently stocked with products for patients to choose from. Operations Associates will also be responsible for the organization of patient pre-orders for expedited customer service.
Job Responsibilities
- Follow established policies for sales and patient service.
- In-depth knowledge of all available products and strains.
- Accurate cash handling and discount application.
- Reports directly to the Assistant Store Manager of Operations.
- Assist with ongoing and scheduled inventory as needed.
- Order products and intake deliveries from processors.
- Answer phones to assist with pre-orders for pick-up.
- Become proficient in using Point-of-Sale software (MJ Freeway).
- Stocking active inventory and managing non-active inventory in the Vault Room.
- Responsible for maintaining organization and cleanliness in the Vault Room and shared spaces.
