SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE – CONTRACT/CONSULTANT
PhillComm Global is a fully remote, highly specialized integrated public relations firm working almost exclusively in today’s most impactful, disruptive, and important emerging industries. Our focus is heavily B2B, in nascent categories like web3/DeFi/blockchain/NFT/metaverse, sustainability, new media/streaming/AVOD, gaming, privacy/dVPN, cannabis/hemp, voice/AI, and more.
We are looking for a senior-level PR consultant (20-35 hours per week) to augment our team working on Eastern Time (USA) hours, Monday-Friday. Our senior consultant will be primarily tasked with results-oriented media relations and content writing for both internal and external audiences for a focus group of extremely kind, newsy, and dynamic clients, including publicly traded media companies, standout blockchain tech groups, a leading voice/AI firm and a Biomed firm.
We’re looking for someone highly motivated and friendly, with at least 3 years of technology/B2B PR experience at an agency. In addition to bringing in quality pitching results that delight our clients, our new team member will assist us with press-release drafting, pitch writing, client communications, research, participating in high-level strategy sessions, light reporting, participating in the creation of written materials like op-eds and proposals, among other duties.
The ideal candidate is extremely passionate about technology, global change, ideas and information emanating from disruptive corners of the global marketplace and knows how to tap into those conversations on behalf of our clients. We’re looking for an omnivorous reader and thinker who also knows how to deliver consistent outcomes for our company and clients, week to week. We can’t wait to meet you.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Successfully pitch the mainstream and trade news media and assist in executing fruitful public relations campaigns that secure strategically vital placements. End-to-end media relations: Pitching, placing, reporting- including influencer and/or analyst targets in fintech, gaming, and other emerging categories
- Drafting press releases for publicly traded companies, often in regulated spaces
- Assist in drafting opinion pieces for placement with and on behalf of our clients
- Work on several projects at once and identify top-priority projects
- Demonstrate strong written/verbal communication and customer service acumen with clients
- Independent research as necessary
- Work within tight deadlines and hit them consistently
- Build press kit materials
- Attend client interviews to ensure success
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3-4 years of media relations experience at an agency focusing on B2B and/or technology
- Proficiently use agency tools like Google Drive, Slack, Telegram, WhatsApp, Muck Rack, etc.
- Driven toward continual self-improvement; someone who takes pride in their work and views PR as a craft
- Self-starter who thrives in a very fast-paced environment; enjoys working with reporters on breaking news
- Team player who is comfortable working in a collaborative environment but can also work independently
- Proficiency in Google Drive and Google Applications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
