Perry Laboratory is a private company that provides Horticultural Testing and Advising services.
The primary services provided include fertility testing of soils, media, plant tissue and waters for various plant growing situations. Most clients utilize our fertility monitoring programs for maintaining their fertility conditions to optimize the growth of the plants they are producing. These reoccurring maintenance programs range from 2, 4, and 6 weeks and consist of client location visits, sample collection, lab data reports, and recommendations for fertilizer program recipes for different fertilizer delivery systems.
The company has evolved since its inception in 1938, when it started by providing boiler water testing for greenhouse operations and then began providing soil testing for the cut flower industry in the San Francisco Bay area. Today, the primary clients are the emerging cannabis industry and the berry growing operations that are expanding by hundreds of acres per year and counting. We also provide the soil testing for new landscape installations (a test compliant with the Water Efficiency Landscape (WELO) required by most municipalities), as well as occasional homeowners wanting to improve their landscape or garden.
Although we do not anticipate moving into other testing areas, many clients continue to request different tests and sometime in the future these may be considered. We are a small, efficient team looking for another methodical, analytical, productive and proactive person to join our growing laboratory business.
