Pantheon Collective LLC is a Upstate, NY based start-up preparing for a vertically integrated cannabis micro business licensure from the State of New York under the Compassionate Care Act (CCA). Currently we are seeking someone to join our team as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) & Fundraiser.
Responsibilities Include:
- Drive and manage the financial initiatives, budgeting processes, and KPI tracking including developing action plans to ensure annual financial objectives are met
- Raise capital in private and public markets
- Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results
- Identify target investors through the on-boarding process and file all legal paperwork
- Prepares timely and accurate analyses, summaries, and reports of financial data on the operating progress of the company
- Create a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting structure that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operational needs
- Routinely review revenue cycle metrics to proactively identify and address issues affecting overall performance
- Manages the company’s compliance with local and federal regulatory matters
- Partner with senior leaders to ensure the company hits revenue targets
- Direct and manage the finance and accounting teams and develop the financial strategy for the organization
- Improve efficiency related to billing, reporting, revenue recognition, payments, receivable, etc.
- Raise capital in private and public markets
Applicant Requirements
- Experience in capital raises and structuring financing options
- Background in Cost Accounting, manufacturing and/or distribution business; cannabis industry experience a huge plus
- Outstanding knowledge and understanding of GAAP
- 5+ years of experience in both FP&A and Reporting roles at a Corporate/Division. Experience in both traditional as well as entrepreneurial companies - IPO experience in the US and Canada a plus
- Significant experience working with external auditors, internal controls, and compliance-related issues
- Preferred candidate also has experience in 280E cannabis tax laws and regulations
- Systems implementation experience strongly preferred
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence – ability to motivate staff
- Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA preferred
- Experience in presenting to investors and raising capital
- Extremely well organized, data driven and comfort managing multiple projects/ stakeholders
