The Role
We are seeking a dynamic, proven leader to join our senior management team as Chief Financial Officer. As CFO, you will run Fine Fettle’s financial department and work as part of the Executive team to plan, project, and assess future capital needs and financial impact. The Work You’ll Do:
- Oversee all financial operations for the company, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, tax, treasury, and investor relations
- Manage and contribute to capital planning and evaluations processes; provide advice, insights and recommendations for appropriate capital structure
- Manage/Implement budgeting processes for all departments and ensure the continual improvement of the budgeting process through education of department managers on financial issues impacting department budgets
- Implement and oversee execution of best practices and processes in the finance department, as well as proper functioning of tools and systems including internal control systems for operations

Duties
Some of the duties you will perform are:
Provide leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.- Make recommendations to agency executive management on policy issues that impact the agency’s financial structure.
- As a member of the director’s Management Team, take a hands-on approach to the development and implementation of the agency operating budget while directing and overseeing all aspects of finance and accounting functions for the agency.

Overview:
As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you are responsible for day-to-day financial operations, preparing month- end closings, and financial forecasts. - Oversees, execute, and provide feedback for the preparation and processing of accounting transactions, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliation of general ledger and subsidiary records and accounts.
- Execute financial and operational strategies by collaborating with other departments, communicating the necessary resources and action plans.
- Maximize return on invested funds by identifying investment opportunities and maintaining relationships with the owners/managing members.
- Reporting financial status by developing forecasts, reporting results, analyzing variances, and presenting incremental improvements towards goals.

Bloom Medicinals is searching for a Chief Financial Officer to support the Company’s executive management by performing financial planning, analysis and reporting for the Company’s various operations. This will include, but is not limited to, assisting in budgeting, long-term planning, forecasting, variance analysis, project analysis, decision support, financial and operational reporting, etc. The Financial Analyst will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, becoming a subject matter expert on the financial performance of operating units and a valued input on the expected financial impact from taking potential courses of action.
Essential Functions
- Review, analyze and communicate findings on a comprehensive array of financial issues.
- Provide information and financial analysis to assist senior management in developing its strategic planning and efficiently operating the company.
- Learn and sufficiently understand the drivers of Bloom Medicinals’ operations to ensure that the finance team’s financial and operational support for senior management and other teams is customized to and aligned with company objectives and context.
- Create/update, communicate and maintain a comprehensive understanding of financial planning and analysis programs, policies and procedures applicable to Bloom Medicinals’ financial planning, monthly reporting, variance analysis and decision support processes.
- Oversee and manage the continued development of budgeting, financial forecasting, operating plan and modeling tools for the executive team.
- Maintain financial reporting templates and define fiscal processes, recommending improvements as needed.
- Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives.
- Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, expenses and capital expenditures.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and report with reliable conclusions.

Great Lakes Kush, a caregiver owned start up cannabis company in Lansing, MI is currently looking for a CFO. GLK or Great Lakes Kush is looking for someone with at least 5 years of experience in accounting and the understanding of cannabis tax regulations. A CPA is preferred but we will consider applicants who do not have this if they have adequate experience or currently pursuing their CPA or CFA.

Qualifications:
· Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
· 5+ years of progressively responsible experience for a mid to large size high growth company or division of a large corporation as a senior VP of Finance or CFO/COO role in a high-regulated industry.
· Should have experience in partnering with an executive team, and have excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Preference will be given to Diverse candidates with an MBA in Finance and the Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations as well as those with prior experience and knowledge of the cannabis regulatory environment.
