Job Summary:
The Product Photographer is primarily responsible for photographing, editing company products for its e-Commerce website and performs all aspects of communicating on the company's various social media accounts with the intention of bringing positive engagement and increased following for our brands.
Essential Functions:
- Produces layout photographs for Marketing Manager to view prior to any type of Photoshop.
- Presents samples of video/ photographs to Marketing Manager for selection and approval.
- Reviews content/ layout and suggests improvements as needed, and presents final layout to Marketing Manager for approval
- Maintains image resource files.
- Will prep cameras and other equipment to stage and set up for video production
- Maintains organization and cleanliness of photo studio
- Ability to drive and load equipment to set locations and venues
- Maintains and manages all camera equipment and responsible for product inventory
- Must have physical stamina for prop set up/dismantling for studio photography
- create social media content and engaging text/captions
- Develop optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and follower engagement metrics
- Forges meaningful connections between communities, industry professionals, and other customers or partners
- creates engaging product descriptions and other copy material
- Understand target audience preferences and have strong knowledge of current trends in cannabis industry and culture
- performs other related duties as required by management
Job Qualifications:
- You must submit a link of your work to be considered
- Must have one year of photographic experience
- Must have two years of experience with Photoshop.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator & Lightroom, Adobe Premiere a plus
- Experience in MAC products and Canon cameras
- Must have basic understanding of various lighting techniques
- knowledge of Capture One software preferred
- Proficiency using Later, Hootsuite or similar social post scheduler
- Social Apps; Instagram, FB, Twitter, Pinterest, Youtube, etc.
- Knowledge of appropriate image formats for social media and websites
- Facebook Insight/Ad Manager proficiency a plus
- Must be able to shoot 30-50 product images in a 6-8 hour session (or less);
- Ability to write and create captivating product descriptions
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagram form.
- Strong organizational skills is a must
- Must have previous experience using MS Office; Outlook, Word and Excel

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds
- Sitting/standing 6-8 hours
- Hand Use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing & pulling
- Requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching
