International investment company with more than 3000 employees is looking for Director of Operations.
Director of Operations will be responsible for establishing, maintaining the efficiency and control of business operations, and securing the functionality of business to drive extensive and sustainable growth.
This role strictly requires a hands-on leader who is strategic in focus, therefore previous experience in hemp/cannabis industry is a must.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented leader, with the ability to manage multiple functions, including vendor and client relationship, logistic, inventory, fulfillment,
operation, technology, sales and marketing, regulation and compliance, finance and human resources.
Roles and responsibilities:
1) Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth, manage ongoing company performance against plans and budgets, and adjust goals as needed to improve performance.
2) Create, execute report sales and marketing activities, evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.
3) Define operational practices to be compliant with regulatory framework, ensure that cGMP, Health, Safety and Environmental standards are up to OSHA & PODA standards.
4) Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures. Establish policies that promote company culture and vision.
5) Estimate costs and prepare budgets; manage relationships with partners, contractors and service providers.
6) Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication, ensure staff is properly trained for all aspects of their position, including computer and production skills.
7) Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines, approve and order maintenance work.
8) Manage daily operations and staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs, prepare production and reports.
9) Manage automation equipment assets, including procurement, installation, performance optimization and routine maintenance.
10) Manage risk based on data and statistics, experience in reporting on base production metrics.
11) Develop, drive and support strategies for new brand and product launches, plan roadshows, demos and trials on a as needed basis.
Qualifications:
1) Hemp and/or Cannabis Extraction experience (Supercritical CO2 Prefered)
2) Bachelors in STEM program, or related field desired
3) Proven expertise in organizational development, sales and operations management, lean manufacturing principles, strategic and business planning methods.
4) 5+ years hands-on experience in manufacturing, sales, and logistics with a minimum of three years in manufacturing management experience.
5) Basic knowledge of technical, scientific and regulatory principles related to the hemp extraction industry.
6) Excellent people skills, business acumen and exemplary work ethics. Leadership aptitude and experience – people want to follow you!
7) Proven project and budget management experience with driven financial results.
8) Substantial experience with inventory management, fulfillment and delivery, familiar with accounting reports.
9) Experience with facilities oversight including physical infrastructure, maintenance, employee safety and security
10) Ability to analyze data, interpret and apply legislation, develop systems and standard operating procedures.
Work location is in Longmont CO area.
