Position Summary:

Our Team members take pride in crafting gourmet pizzas and being an integral part of a Team. Team Members are responsible for the following policies and procedures and their principal duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival.
• When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and number of people in party, provide estimated waiting time.
• Take food and beverage orders from guests.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the Restaurant’s standards
• Have or develop a knowledge of craft beer/micro brews and be able to recommend and explain to our guests.
• Clear tables after guests leave. Take tableware to the dish area and place silverware, dishes, and glassware to the appropriate areas for washing.
• Circle/check the entire dining area and clean as required.
• Respond appropriately to guest requests. Communicate guest requests to server or manager as needed.
• Become fluent in the understanding of the restaurant’s table and seating numbers
• Carry service trays and deliver food to tables/multiple tables in one trip.
• Pre-bus finished plates in front of guests. If it appears that the guests have stopped eating and there is still food on the table, offer to retrieve a box for them. Remove used tableware between courses and provide tableware for the next course.
• Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change if needed.
• Wash and sanitize glassware.
• Maintain bus-tubs, glass racks, and restock all glassware as needed.
• Double check food quality, accuracy and plate cleanliness before delivery to guest.
• Maintain beer bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages.
• Maintain food menus, beer menus, and draft boards, to ensure they are up to date and clean.
• Present beer and food menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages.
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the restaurant including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas.
• Pizza servers and spoons are stocked. Sani-bucket filled and replaced every 3 hours.
• Possess adequate responsible alcohol service knowledge; read and understand the company provided alcohol service guidelines. Attend and pass testing for mandatory local Alcohol Service Permit certification within 30 days of employment and maintain the certification.
• Accurately control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures.
• Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues to restaurant manager.
• Assist in restocking and replenishment of inventory and supplies.
• Assist in control of TV/sporting events at the restaurant guests requests.
• Prepares a variety of meats, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in, ovens, grills, pizza ovens, steamers, and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
• Refer to Daily Prep List at the start of each shift for assigned duties.
• Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served.
• Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
• Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.
• Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, steamers, convection oven and refrigeration equipment.
• Possess full understanding of health code standards and safe food-handling procedures.
• Prepares item for broiling, grilling, or other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and/or marinating.
• Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
• Handles, stores and rotates all products properly.
• Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.
• Use our Standard Recipe book for preparing all products. Do not rely on the memory of yourself or other employees.
• Maintain proper cooling charts and labeling of prepped foods according to restaurant standards.
• Understand and comply consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
• Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations. Assists others in closing the kitchen.
• Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the General Manager or manager-on-duty.
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
• Inspect assigned restroom and clean as needed every 30 minutes.
• Maintain the floor, vestibule and outside areas with constant spot sweeps.
• Check the restaurant’s exterior every 30 minutes for debris.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in English
• Computer literacy
• Willingness to work varied shifts
• Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission Alcohol Service Permit
• Oregon Food Handlers Card

Use of all restaurant equipment including but not limited to headsets, ovens, microwave, dishwasher, grill, bunn hot water dispernsers, cash registers, cleaning supplies (mops & brooms), small food prep utensils. Use of some Computer and Peripheral equipment, Register, monitor, Calculator, Fax Machine, Copy Machine, telephone and credit card machine. Some maintenance includes unclogging toilet, relighting water heater, etc. Office supplies such as notepads, pencils, pens, maps for deliveries etc. Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and insurance for positions that require driving: District Manager, General Manager, Assistant General Manager and Manager in Training.

Fast paced work environment. Primarily inside restaurant around food prep and cooking equipment (hot & cold). May need to be outside for inspection of property. Requires frequent immersing of hands in water to wash hands, wash and rinse food and small wares. Some positions require gloves. Delivery, some cleaning/maintenance responsibilities are performed outdoors in the elements like rain, snow, sleet, hail, sun, hot and cold. Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays. Work with the public.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
