DAY’S AND WEEKENDS
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Warehouse
Reads customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined location codes.
Assembles customer fulfillment orders from stock and packages orders for shipping.
Marks materials with identifying information.
Opens crates and other containers.
Records parts or items received or shipped meeting MPR one hour dock to stock standards.
Uses inventory system to enter inbounds into computer.
Completes requisition forms to order supplies from Warehouse Lead.
Prepares parcels for mailing and produces shipping labels via UPS Wordship as well as USPS postage machine. Usage of web necessary to produce Fed Ex and Yellow Freight shipping documents.
Maintains inventory records. Performs cycle counts.
Controls security access to warehouse and maintains a clean and orderly warehouse.
Position Responsibilities: Dispatch
Ensure all jobs dispatched are dispatched to drivers in accordance with their route in the most effective and efficient manner.
Stay in frequent contact with customers and advise on board times, delivery times, POD’s any issues, and ensure customer expectations are consistently met.
Communicate with customers to ensure all details on orders are correct, communicate any special instructions from the customer to the driver.
Ensure all company policy and procedures are followed as well as all federal state and local rules and regulations.
Communicate effectively with customers by explaining pricing, and time differences within each services level providing the most cost efficient option for the customer.
Communicate with drivers the pick-up and delivery time frames, locations they will be picking up from and delivering, as well as point of contact, description of the materials being moved i.e. dimensions, weights and type of material.
Knowledge and understanding of each driver’s limitations and capabilities, such as hours driven for the day, each driver’s vehicle capacity, specifically max dimensions and weight they can carry and endorsements drivers may carry such as TSA certification, Intel badge or Medical Cannabis etc.
Ability to multitask, and communicate in a calm and respectful manner.
Knowledge and understanding of the OR department of transportation’s rules and regulations.
Knowledge and understanding of TSA rules and regulations in regards to tendering to and recovering pieces from the airport.
Education & Experience - High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or MPR employees.
Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of internet software’ Inventory software; Spreadsheet software; and Microsoft Word.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Ability to obtain all required certifications, badging and licensing required by MPR, customers, vendors, and TSA. Ability to become forklift certified.
Other Skills and Abilities - Be able to operate warehouse equipment (pallet jack, electric pallet jack, forklift shrink-wrap machines. etc.)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50 per hour
