About this Sales Leadership Role
The National Sales Director is an integral part of our leadership team. With the rapid growth of our company, we need a coach-player to lead our sales team to success. You will be responsible for sales planning, hiring and development, growing the existing pipeline, and managing the day-to-day operations.
You will need a hunter mindset, superb sales skills, and a positive and collaborative attitude. Vital to this leadership role is the capability to develop and drive an outbound prospecting plan of attack with a focus on engaging, qualifying, and closing all prospective clients. This will include leading our sales team’s efforts on responding to inbound leads, making cold calls, engaging with prospects via email and social media, and executing on an established sales process. The National Sales Director will have a strategic seat at the table and play an active role in our fast-growing AdTech platform for the Cannabis industry
Your Impact
- Lead sales activities for inbound lead follow-up and win a target list of major new business prospects.
- Focus on implementation of best practices, sales strategy and planning, and team development
- Collaborate with marketing to support lead generation initiatives
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to leverage existing clients and identify new opportunities.
- Establish and maintain a high volume of outreach KPIs
- Work with sales team and partners to consult/pitch prospects in both individual and group meetings
- Develop, manage, and grow a well-organized pipeline of new accounts across North America
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create winning proposals and SOWs
- Achieve sales team’s quarterly and annual revenue targets via programmatic advertising, paid search and SEO
What you will bring:
- Excitement and energy about disrupting the traditional and doing something different in the Cannabis industry
- 5 + years’ programmatic advertising sales experience. Additional paid search and SEO sales experience is a plus!
- Experience in educating new Advertisers on the benefits of transitioning from traditional media to digital marketing
- A knack for winning deals
- Highly competent multi-tasker who has the ability to move quickly and definitively when making decisions
- A background of working with small and large prospective clients
- Proficient in the language of programmatic advertising and knowledge of the DSPs and SSPs
- Experience selling to advertising brands and agencies, creating RFPs, and ability to monitor ad performance analytics
- Good working knowledge of CRM Management (we use Salesforce)
