We are seeking enthusiastic, friendly budtenders who can use their extensive cannabis product knowledge to guide customers to the appropriate medical product and provide impeccable customer service while complying with all regulations. Budtenders must provide customers with prompt service and quality products while maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable store environment.
The responsibilities of the budtender include greeting customers, answering customers’ questions regarding the different strains of cannabis, their medicinal uses, and methods of consumption, and keeping the manager informed of any complaints or operational issues. Budtenders are also responsible for maintaining high standards when it comes to the store's appearance.
Responsibilities
- Check customers' forms of identification and limits to ensure they comply with state regulations
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
- Guide and direct customers in their cannabis purchasing journey; advise them on cannabis products based on their preferences, needs, and budget
- Answer customer questions and concerns; ensure that they are well-informed and leave the store satisfied with their purchases
- Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service
- Process customers' payments via the dispensary's point of sale system; ensure compliance in all transactions
- Meet and exceed sales goals; maintain a regular inventory of products and ensure that the sales floor is adequately stocked and faced
- Follow daily/weekly cleaning procedures
- Assist with opening/closing of store and other tasks as assigned
- Suggest ways to improve sales (e.g. planning marketing activities, changing the store’s design)
Skills
- A friendly and energetic personality with a customer service focus
- Proven work experience as a Retail Sales associate, Sales representative or similar role
- Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
- Proficiency in English, basic Math skills
- In-depth knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods preferred
- Familiarity with inventory procedures
- Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner
- High school degree or equivalent required; some college/BS degree or related training/certifications would be a plus
- Must be able to lift 50lbs. and stand for extended periods of time

We are looking for a friendly, result-driven retail budtender to be responsible for all sales job duties, from generating leads to closing sales. Budtending duties and responsibilities include working closely with customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about our products, and recommend the right solutions. You should be able to promptly resolve customer complaints and ensure maximum client satisfaction. To be successful as a budtender, you should stay up-to-date with product features and maintain our store’s visual appearance in high standards. Ultimately, the duties of a budtender are to achieve excellent customer service, while consistently meeting the store’s sales goals.
