Ensuring that the correct price, product, tax and/or discounts are applied correctly to each sale.
Taking initiative to stay informed on new or existing products and is knowledgeable about their ingredients and potential benefits to better serve customers.
Identifying and converts on upselling opportunities.
Assisting in the packaging and labeling of cannabis products.
Other tasks as assigned by Management.

Essential Functions:

The Budtender is a critical component of Silver Therapeutics to ensure smooth and successful service of our customers. Identifying and converts on upselling opportunities.
Assisting in the packaging and labeling of cannabis products.

Summary:
The Budtender performs the daily patient service, medical marijuana product advisement and education, and all sales operations of the dispensary. This position is classified as non-exempt. The Budtender reports to the Inventory Manager and General Manager. Primary duties include but are not limited to:
Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Trained in all core competencies including Patient Intake, Patient Advisor, Fulfillment, Fast Track, Sales floor.
- Patient Intake - Manages the registration and flow of visitors to the dispensary by greeting patients, caregivers and visitors to ensure only approved persons gain access to the facility. Register patients and caregivers into the state mandated electronic tracking system. - Fast Track and Fulfillment – Complete and fill all orders placed within the menu ordering platform and transfer into state mandated point-of-sale software to ensure both accuracy of each order, as well as dispensary inventory. - Retail Floor – answer all incoming phone calls, maintain a detailed knowledge of all medical marijuana products in order to educate and advise patients and caregivers on types, methods and effectiveness of medical marijuana products. Assist patients in placing orders via menu ordering platform.

Job Summary:
Budtenders will have industry knowledge and experience to assist customers in selecting suitable cannabis products. The responsibilities of the Budtender include greeting and welcoming customers, informing the manager of customer complaints and operational issues, and sharing firsthand experiences of cannabis products to address customer concerns. You should be able to answer customers’ questions regarding the different strains of cannabis, their medicinal uses, and methods of consumption. Budtenders should be able to demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills by ensuring that customers are well-informed and satisfied with their purchases. You will also be responsible for accurately putting together patient orders, entering into the point-of-sale system, and fulfilling register transactions. This role also requires assistance with packaging product, as well as making/tubing prerolls.
Responsibilities:
- Following opening/closing protocols and completing all required tasks in a timely manner
- Accurately fulfilling patient orders through Weedmaps, phone, or in-person
- Accurately entering all patient orders into POS system
- Accurately accounting for all register transactions
- Maintaining consistent information and answering patient questions clearly
- Ensuring excellent customer service to all patients
- Awareness of licensing laws, restrictions, and limits for patients
- Assisting in stickering, packaging, and restocking products as necessary
- Actively assist in keeping Weedmaps products/pricing accurate in real-time
- Knowledgeable of cannabis strains and their medicinal benefits

- Work with Patients through sales transactions, while properly educating them on products; paying special attention to all details of transaction.
