Overview:
As part of a mission centric, locally delivered and nationally powered organization this role is responsible for writing successful, compelling and high-value cultivation and ask materials for a range of audiences and content including scientific research and patient stories. Relentlessly pursuing cancer cures.

Develop Targeted Donor Cultivation and Stewardship Materials
- Write proposals, foundation grant applications, impact reports and targeted collateral to support cultivation activities and solicitations, specializing in making scientific content accessible and engaging for a lay audience.
- Develop information decks, overviews, speaking points, acknowledgement and other letters, and other collateral materials for relationship building activities with individual, corporate, and foundation donors and prospects.
- Liaise and strategize with business partners across the enterprise on projects and programs and how to most advantageously position our value proposition to donors.
- Coordinate and track reviews/approvals of solicitation materials, including submission to donor, and maintain in constituent record
Promote Funding Priorities
- Participate in updating and maintaining the team’s library of “fundable” opportunities available for donor support, identifying timelines, costs, and ensuring the data is up-to-date and accurate.
- Stay abreast of LLS activities and advances in our research and support programs, providing knowledge and expertise to field staff about the most current advances.
- Provide content resources to frontline Advancement staff that connect the donor’s interest with the priorities of the organization to further the mission.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1-5 years of progressively responsible related experience
- Experience in writing about complex medical and scientific content for a lay audience
