The Director Of Marijuana Infused Products (MIP) is primarily responsible for complete oversight of theProcessing Division including Shipping & Receiving, Sales, Purchasing, potential move to in houseExtraction, Creating and Infusing Products, and Packaging . The MIP Director provides oversight for all new research and development regarding marijuana products to ensure the quality of product meets or exceeds standards and regulatory guidelines. Additionally, it is the Director's responsibility to ensure all policies and regulatory agency guidelines are upheld and all standard operating procedures are adhered to. The Director ensures the Division stays in ridged compliance with Marijuana Regulatory Agency, FDA and MIOSHA regulations.
Responsibilities
Initially, this position will be hands on product with evolving Management role with direct reports and be responsible for all of the operational distribution functions including inbound receipt, storage, production and outbound delivery preparation throughout Michigan. Maintain consistent high-quality products as production levels increase; Oversee purchasing strategy, including commodity management, vendor selection, contract management, competitive sourcing and materials planning; Optimize master scheduling, planning, production control, logistics and supply chain processes in order to ensure proper execution and operational excellence Improve the existing supply chain by reducing lead-times, driving costs down, creating alternative tier two sources, facilitating beneficial inventory sharing arrangements, improving quality controls, and eliminating bottlenecks Drive improvement in on-time delivery, past due backlog, lead-times, and inventory levels through the implementation of world-class materials management processes Development and maintenance of staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees Responsible for day to day activities of directing, controlling and coordinating all phases of operations in Division Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations as it pertains to products being produced Ensure compliance with local and state regulations regarding medical and recreational marijuana Consistent quality control assurance Achieves financial objectives by collaborating with CEO and accounting on an annual and quarterly budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions Ensure a safe and positive work environment for all employees Other duties as required.
Experience
1+ years in a regulated MIP facility in the cannabis industry Strong analytical and forecasting skills Proven proficiency and experience with METRC state tracking system In-depth knowledge of key supply chain/logistics processes and current best practices; including Reverse Logistics Exceptional change management and leadership skills Strong project management and implementation skills Expert time-management, prioritization and multi-tasking skills; Ability to quickly adapt to an often-changing and rapid-paced work environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Understanding & adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives and standard operating procedures
Work Conditions and Physical Requirements
Work in an office or production floor environment that may include moderate to loud noise level. Handle labor-centered work in a fast-pace strictly regulated environment. Wear all protective clothing while in the production areas (gloves, safety glasses, smocks, booties, hair nets etc.).
Skills Needed

Overview
The Assistant Grower will have knowledge of cannabis growth for all aspects of a grow facility from seeds to harvest. The Assistant Grower has experience with different types of growing mediums, growth schedules, specific strain needs, feeding techniques, pest or deficiency signs and treatment.Knowledge/Experience with cultivation techniques of bending, feming, topping, scrogging and defolation that leads to maximum cola growth, multiple cola sites, air movement, and light filtration is a major responsibility of the job. Compensation is a base and more experience will bring a higher compensation.
Responsibilities
Maintain grow-house protocols for our cultivation facility. Perform tasks in the grow facility including: cloning, transplanting, feeding, defoliation, topping, flushing and inventory management. Follows propagation, germination and planting protocols for all crops. Provides section managers with insight to growing techniques that result in continual gains in plant yield. Strong working knowledge in container systems with different types of growing mediums and styles. Understands the effect of temperature, light and humidity on the plants. Expert knowledge of plant diseases, insects, fungi and deficiencies as well as treatment options. Demonstrates mastery of growing methods, including in-depth knowledge of micronutrients, beneficial bacteria and nutrient implementation. Successfully executes preventative maintenance and elimination of types of mold, powdery mildew, spider mites, root aphids, etc. Establishes and maintains a clean and organized work environment. Collaborates with section managers to provide timely reporting. Assists inspections and compliance audits so that the facility stays in constant compliance. Conducts facility maintenance and troubleshooting as necessary. Other duties as required.
Experience
Preferred over 2 years as a caregiver with willingness to give that up if hired, if not already. High SchoolDiploma or Equivalent. Advanced knowledge of the marijuana plant and genetics strongly preferred. Must demonstrate accountability, proactive behavior and strong attention to detail. Experience in a complex, fast-paced strictly regulated environment. Communication and organization skills.
Work Conditions and Physical Requirements
Stand, walk, reaches, stoops, bends, lifts, carries, etc. Lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to walk the grow facility. Work in a cultivation environment with moderate to loud noise level and changing.Wear all protective clothing while in the warehouse (gloves, safety glasses, smocks, booties, hair nets, etc.).
Skills Needed
- Willingness to learn. Understanding of local Michigan strain preferences. Involved in Michigan cannabis scene.
