Effective use of the Marihuana Enforcement Tracking Reporting Compliance system, ‘METRC,’ requires the cooperation and collaboration of nearly every department. The METRC Lead establishes, maintains and helps to evolve the standard procedures for each department’s use of the system, which tracks all marijuana plants and product as it enters, flows through the facility and then, exits. The METRC Lead works with the Director of Compliance as well as METRC Support and MRA Investigators to ensure regulatory compliance when using the METRC system. Responsible for creating outbound transportation manifests and logging errors that occur within the system. Duties will include inputting data into METRC, auditing inventory, and following and establishing department SOPs and state guidelines regarding the cannabis inventory. You will be working with METRC, ERP, and inventory tracking software and third-party integrations, which all work in conjunction with each other. You will also be responsible for assisting the cultivation team with cultivation, care, harvest, and curing of cannabis plants.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain standard operating procedures for METRC activities performed by system users in propagation, vegetation, harvest, fulfillment, intake, extraction, lab, and testing departments
- Communicate and coordinate with sales department, I.T., compliance, afore mentioned system users, METRC Support, MRA Investigators and third party couriers to ensure that RFID tags and transportation manifests are created in a way that is most effective for the company and most compliant with regulations.
- Use RFID tags and information from the kitchen manager to create production batches in METRC for edibles that do not have to go through the testing department.
- Accept return and rejection manifests that appear in METRC.
- Log and reconcile all errors that occur via inventory discrepancies, fulfillment errors or data entry mistakes.
- Place orders to maintain inventory of RFID tags for entire facility.
- Export monthly reports from the system for the accounting department.
- Create transport manifests daily for all edibles orders and provide coverage for other system users when they are absent.
- Conduct trainings in addition to the ones provided by METRC and keep a log of who has been trained in what.
- Create and maintain Excel documents with accurate data associated with all METRC activities (I.e. Harvest Data, Package Data, Testing Data etc.)
- Maintain plants including watering, fertilizing, pruning, propagation, and all other tasks associated with the cultivation of plants within the facility.
- Record information about crops, such as environmental conditions, media conditions and overall plant health
- Apply the principles of Integrated Pest Management in scouting for insects and diseases, identification of insect pest species, and monitoring of pest populations
- Apply or release chemical and biological materials to manage insects and diseases
- Implement direction given by Cultivation Team Leader, including managing settings and ranches for environmental control equipment, and operate such equipment including computerized programs
- Test growing media and water to evaluate PH, soluble salts, and other information associated with specific tasks, as well as record keeping of these tasks.
- Prepare fertilizer stock solutions, and feed plants according to the schedule and standard operating procedures
- Calibrate and maintain test instruments, spraying equipment and all tools and equipment associated with the cultivation of medical marihuana
- Use and maintain personal protective equipment when called in for in SOP, or when the conditions or environment dictate
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree from a four year accredited university or equivalent work experience in a similar role or industry
- Ability to think critically is a must.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient at Excel
- METRC experience is preferred but not required.
- Must pass a background check. + Able to work independently and with others
- Exceptional time management skills
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Energetic team player, willing to take direction and learn new skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately
- Must comply with state regulations and guidelines
- Ability to pass a background check required
- Must be able to stoop, bend, twist, turn, push and pull, as well as lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time, minimum of 6-8 hrs.
- Must have the manual dexterity to grab, grip, hold, pour, tear, cut, sort and reach
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying temperatures of heat and humidity, cold and rain, pollen, dust, loud noises and bright lights
