Position Summary/Objective
The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for assisting in managing a team of dispensary employees. This position will involve supporting the Store Manager with all aspects of dispensary operations, including coaching, and developing the retail store team. The Assistant Store Manager will serve as a Store-Manager-in-Training and Inventory-Manager-in-Training, with the ability to complete all dispensary functions, as directed and authorized by the Store Manager. The Assistant Store Manager will operate the store in absence of the Store Manager.
We are seeking a passionate, driven, detailed-oriented and collaborative Assistant Store Manager to assist with leadership, direction, and support of the daily operations of the dispensary, including handling the needs of all patients and developing a team of Customer Experience Specialists who are enthusiastic about delivering a best-in-class, innovative cannabis retail experience that is compliant with state and local rules and regulations. The ideal candidate has the ability to adapt to our business model and has demonstrated leadership experience, as he or she will be given significant responsibility within our dispensary. Previous cannabis retail experience is necessary.
NOTE: The facility contains confined spaces that may only be accessible by ascending/descending stairwells while traveling throughout building. Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time, bend, kneel, squat, and twist. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

- Motivate and work together with the Store Manager and employees to meet and exceed sales goals
- Support the Store Manager with employee schedules and managing employee work hours and leave requests
- Assist with training of all new employees as well as the re-training of existing employees when needed
- Assist with performance reviews of dispensary employees on a regular basis
- Inform employees of new updates and general developments in the Company
- Support the Store Manager in evaluating applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with hiring managers; interview applicants on a consistent set of criteria
- Help ensure that inventory is adequate and help properly manage inventory by becoming well versed in the use of METRC, LeafLogix, Dutchie, HeadsetIO.
- Promote a work environment that is positive, customer-service oriented, and compliant with established company policies and procedures
- Support the Store Manager by monitoring the activities of the store employees to maximize efficiency and minimize errors
- Become familiar and proficient at all other tasks and duties of the Store Manager
- Support the Inventory Manager with regular and random inventory counts of medical cannabis, ancillary products, and dispensing supplies
- Accommodate scheduling expectations by supervising retail dispensary store a minimum of 40 hours per week, including weekends, evenings, and holiday shifts
- Supervise dispensary agents during Store Manager’s absence or when directed
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Store Manager
- Assist in ensuring that physical environment is safe, sanitary, and that all equipment/technology is in good working order
- Lead initiatives, dispensary strategies, and specific projects at the dispensary level that may be assigned by the Store Manager
- Report directly to the Store Manager

This position is classified as Exempt and is not eligible for overtime pay.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be 21 years of age or older

- Retail Experience, 2+ years (preferred)
- Previous experience in a cannabis retail environment is required

- Strong Knowledge of Standard POS Systems and Interfaces (preferred)
- Dispensing Organization Agent Identification Card (able to obtain)
- Must have High School Diploma or GED

JOB SUMMARY
Our Retail Inventory Manager will be responsible for involved inventory recording, compliance, purchasing, forecasting, and accuracy in all phases of the Retail sales of cannabis products in the dispensary.
CORE JOB DUTIES
- Perform cycle counts daily, weekly and monthly as needed
- Ensure inventory records are always accurate
- Follow state guidelines to maintain an accurate physical inventory and ensure the integrity of the dispensary records
- Follow state guidelines and procedures for waste management and disposal
- Follow state guidelines and procedures for Quarantine and Recall inventory
- Assist in managing State inventory system METRC and our POS System, Leaf Logix.
- Assist in deliveries that will be taken into the dispensary ensuring they are accurate and in full compliance with state regulations
- Adding all new products received into Leaf Logix
- Participate in assessing the internal controls over inventory to identify deficiencies and develop corrective action plans for continuous improvement
- Work with our Store Manager to ensure all inventory issues are handled on a timely basis
- Adhere to all mandatory state regulations
- Interprets reports and predicts future sales to ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time.
- Discovers and purchases new products and checks the quality and popularity of those already on our shelves.
- Works to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned orders. Reports any back ordered, missing or defective products.
- Analyzes merchandise sales and plans store’s inventory accordingly. Reviews and executes an allocation plan and adapts it to a store’s sales trend.
- Understands how much of what items are in stock and replenishes each store accordingly to sales trends.
- Analyzes previous sales data, and places it in the context of the current market and industry trends.
- Takes appropriate measures to ensure no “out of stocks” - especially on private label products.
- Counts and updates inventory to ensure that stock levels are kept at productive and cost-efficient levels.
- Reacts to changes in customer demand and collects feedback from our customers. Applies information as appropriate in buying decisions.
- Works with internal customers to gain a deep understanding of supply needs.
- Builds relationships with suppliers and negotiates the best price, quantities, and delivery timelines.
- Evaluates suppliers according to pricing, quality, relevance for our customer etc. and determines the best supplier choices.
- Is aware of, and follows, compliance regulations and practices.
- Creates and analyzes report/s on weeks of supply, merchandise turn over, Inventory on-hands, COGs, Gross Profit, Margin %, Inventory Cost, Units Sold and Sell Through Rates and adjusts strategies accordingly.
- Attends events, fairs, and exhibitions to remain up to date with the market’s trends.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

The Customer Experience Specialist (Budtender) collaborates with the dispensary’s management team to ensure every guest receives the highest level of hospitality and experiences cannabis shopping and education in the best way possible.
