- Ability to write articles and market our cannabis services
- Identify, train and supervise Other professionals including running in-house seminars to disseminate knowledge
- Work with other members of the firm to optimize the firm's ability to service clients with international tax and accounting needs
- Participate in essential tax and accounting department functions including designing and implementing educational programs, identify and disseminate information concerning international tax law changes and developments, including, where appropriate, to the firm's client base and/or media and professional publications
- Manage planning, workflow, and execution of engagements
- Manage multiple client assignments and projects concurrently with assigned teams
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and client personnel
- Correspond with client, team members, and Partner on work status and inquiries
- Identify tax planning and service opportunities
- Respond to inquiries from IRS and other tax authorities
- Supervise, mentor and develop less experienced tax staff by providing on-going and regular feedback
- Be a career coach and mentor for less experienced staff
- Participate in professional development seminars and deliver intermediate to complex training
- Assist with special projects as needed
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required; Master's degree in taxation or equivalent a plus
- 5+ years' of progressive experience in similar role
- CPA license required
- Strong technical knowledge of with proficiency in US GAAP, tax compliance, corporate consolidated returns, consolidated federal tax returns, partnership returns, and combined state tax returns
- Ability to multi-task, work in a team environment, and lead projects
- Strong verbal and written communication

The Tax Manager will provide tax compliance and tax consulting services for middle market businesses. You will provide the highest levels of client service excellence while collaborating with other tax professionals.
Responsibilities Include:
- Comprehensive technical skills in corporate and partnership tax compliance
- Responsible for the overall day to day planning, development, and execution of client tax engagement process
- Maintain strong relationships with a highly proactive approach to serving clients
- Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously
- Possess strong corporate tax knowledge and experience in S Corps, Partnerships, etc.
- Knowledgeable in the area of State & Local taxation
- Perform tax research to resolve issues
- Coordinates with Partner to ensure timeliness and effective communication for proper planning of project
- Coaching, mentoring and assisting staff so they can develop and assist in the growth of the tax practice
- Ensure timely filing of all client-related tax returns and documents
- Communicate on behalf of clients with the IRS, state and local authorities and represent clients at any potential tax audits
- Provide effective consulting, planning and compliance for your clients
- Provide firm trainings on current and new tax law developments
- Stay current on technical and industry developments and standards while evaluating potential impact on clients' businesses
- Assist our internal marketing department to create collateral that pertain to the commercial business industry.
- Develop and maintain external advisory relationships in order to foster business development opportunities for the firm
- Participate in client proposal opportunities
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, Masters in Taxation is preferred, CPA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive public accounting experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills
- Capable of managing multiple client engagements
- A track record of building and sustaining client relationships and high-quality client service
- Outstanding problem solving, analytical, organizational and project management skills

- Manage and Review fiduciary and Estate accountings
- Involvement in estate planning and wealth transfer projects, including review of estate planning documents, modeling of various estate tax reduction strategies, meeting and making appropriate recommendations to clients.
- Provide a high-level trust and estate consulting for clients in addition to performing complex research and analyzing sophisticated tax strategies.

The Tax Senior Manager will provide tax compliance and tax consulting services for middle market businesses. Responsibilities Include:
- Manage and technical review of complex Fiduciary (Form 1041), Gift (Form 709), and Estate (Form 706) tax returns
- Manage multiple Estate, Gift and Fiduciary client tax engagements simultaneously
- Review and analyze estate plans including trust instruments, Wills, and other estate planning documents
- Manage and Review fiduciary and Estate accountings
- Involvement in estate planning and wealth transfer projects, including review of estate planning documents, modeling of various estate tax reduction strategies, meeting and making appropriate recommendations to clients.
- Provide a high-level trust and estate consulting for clients in addition to performing complex research and analyzing sophisticated tax strategies.
- Reviewing trust structures to minimize the federal and state income tax exposure between the trusts and their beneficiaries.
- Research and consult on various estate, gift and trust related issues, such as trustee and beneficiary issues, generation skipping tax issues and wealth transfer planning
- Developing effective income and estate tax planning techniques using partnerships and LLCs, charitable trusts, generation skipping trusts, and other wealth building strategies.
- Conducting internal training courses or seminars on technical tax subjects.
- Have responsibility for managing all aspects of client relationships.
- Strategic planning for clients including advising on federal and state compliance issues
- Manage client engagements and assure timely filing of all related tax returns
- Dealing directly with the client’s attorneys, investment advisors, taxing authority agents, and other professionals.
- Responsible for the planning, development and execution of client tax engagement process
- Proactively interact with key client management to gather information, resolve tax-related issues, and make tax recommendations.
- Develop and maintain effective client relationships during the engagement and throughout the year
- Identify additional tax planning opportunities that may impact clients financial position
- Manage and train professionals on the engagement team in complex tax technical topics and client engagements
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, Masters in Taxation is preferred, CPA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive public accounting experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills
- Capable of managing multiple client engagements
- A track record of building and sustaining client relationships and high-quality client service
- Outstanding problem solving, analytical, organizational and project management skills
