Humboldt’s Finest Farms is seeking a qualified Account Manager/Sales Representative with prior Cannabis Sales experience. As an Account Manager, you will be a primary representative of the brand and will be responsible for developing, maintaining and overseeing long-term B2B relationships with wholesale dispensary buyers and our distribution partners.
As an Account Manager, you will coordinate with our distribution partners and representatives to ensure an aligned performance and will work closely with our Operations and Marketing teams to track inventories and develop sales campaigns.
You will nurture existing client relations and work to achieve the buyer's needs and requests. You will respond to all inquiries in a timely manner and will work towards providing buyers and dispensary employees with a positive Humboldt's Finest experience. You will need to have intuitive interpersonal skills, possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, outstanding organizational skills, and have creative solutions for all situations that may arise. Being a team player is key to this position!
Responsibilities include:
- Develop effective and high-yielding relationships with clients
- Ability to understand clients needs and adapt accordingly
- Educate wholesalers, dispensaries, and budtenders on Humboldt’s Finest quality craft cannabis products and farms
- Constantly strategizing how to upsell products and find new needs in existing accounts
- Attending social events to expand your network in the industry
- Provide reports and updates weekly to the sales manager and team
- Take over existing accounts with the intention to increase their sales
- Working with Sales Manager and your Brand Ambassadors to plan and execute promotional demos at dispensaries
- You will be the point of contact for buyers at dispensaries
- Fair knowledge of current cannabis regulations that relate to distribution and retailers
- Must be extremely self-motivated and set own schedule with intention and discipline

This position coordinates all bulk Cannabis Procurement and Sales activities. This includes:
- Managing activities that result in meeting and exceeding procurement, sales, revenue and profit objectives (i.e. manage a book of business)
- Connecting with and maintaining a network of cannabis cultivators and buyers in California, with a focus on Humboldt and Mendocino Counties
- Grade cannabis and reach agreement on pricing with cultivators and buyers
- Coordinate with cannabis laboratories for testing
- Receiving, storing, picking, packaging, and transporting cannabis material
- Ensure cannabis is available to support Humboldt’s Finest internal needs for its branded products

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Procurement
- Create and maintain a cannabis cultivator supplier list using (Customer Relationship Management) CRM software
- Create and execute cultivator lead generation program using CRM software
- Purchase cannabis at a fair price while generating a positive relationship with cultivators
- Purchase cannabis from cultivators in alignment with the ICFA Grading and Sorting Rubric
- Coordinate cannabis testing and reporting with testing laboratories
- Monitor cannabis availability in the cannabis cultivator community regarding lead time and cost in order to optimize procurement financials
- Purchase cannabis to meet internal HF Brands production requirements
- Provide support as necessary to accomplish physical transportation of cannabis
- Ensure procurement is in compliance with BCC, CDFA and MCSB regulations
- Sales
- Create and maintain a list of cannabis buyers using CRM software
- Create and execute a buyer lead generation program using CRM software
- Sell cannabis at a fair price while maintaining a positive relationship with cannabis buyers
- Ensure proper document control and cash flow reporting for sales of cannabis
- Collaborate with the marketing, sales, and compliance staff for the coordination and preparation of commercial samples
- Create, manage and expedite order confirmations to ensure that shipment as well as deliveries are accurate and on time
- Maintain accurate invoice and excise tax records
- Utilize the inventory control system to track cannabis plant materials from procurement through sale

Minimum Qualifications:
- Existing relationships with BCC Licensed Farms
- Existing relationships with purchasers of bulk cannabis
- Previous experience in a legal and fully compliant cannabis business
- Understanding of the logistics and supply chain in the cannabis industry
- Firm understanding of cannabis cultivation practices; ideally having grown cannabis on a licensed farm
- At least 3 years cannabis sourcing and selling experience
- Lab Technician skills or experience in agriculture sampling environments
- Commitment to managing and maintaining cannabis testing protocols
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Competency with computers and software platforms:
- Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel and Outlook
- CRM
- Metric / Backbone / Leaflink
- Has personal transportation and can drive as needed
- Able to lift up to 50lbs
