We are looking for a Sustainability Advisor to join our team. The Sustainability Advisor’s role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned business partners, develop new business from existing partners and actively seek new partnership opportunities. Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting partner relationships
Utilize social media and other networking platforms to observe and engage new partners
Obtain pertinent information from new partners courteously and professionally
Comfortable cold calling and establishing new relationships with the intent to listen and understand what sustainability goals we can help achieve
Answer calls, emails, and direct messages from prospective partners
Utilize and manage our CRM and Project Management system to maintain timely relationships
Develop trusted relationships with key partners
Develop new opportunities with existing partners and/or identify areas of improvement
Assist with challenging partners requests or issue escalations as needed
Assist with the delivery of graphic designs and product mockups and proofs
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Requirements:
Passion for sustainable manufacturing practices and new sustainable material types
Cannabis and Hemp Industry experience or knowledge
Passion for domestic hemp cultivation (food, fuel and fiber)
Passion for permaculture and regenerative farming practices
Positive and energetic attitude
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and organize communication
Ability to produce an invoice per partner needs
Ability to think and act quickly
Strong organizational and time management skills
Display the ability to communicate with others effectively, listen closely, and convey points clearly
High degree of comfortability with social media including, but not limited to, LinkedIn and Instagram
Awareness or willingness to learn how commercial printing works
Awareness or willingness to learn how to make quick judgments about quality of customer artwork and design files
Moderate Knowledge of Adobe Suite a must
Knowledge of online ecommerce platforms (Shopify and Squarespace)
Knowledge of Windows operating system a must
Knowledge of G Suite Services (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, etc) a must
Knowledge of Podio or other project management or CRM systems a distinct advantage
Confident in typing skills/speed

Hemp Press was established in 2013 as the first design and print shop dedicated specifically for Hemp and Cannabis Industry. We provide self supporting and sustainable hemp paper printing, packaging, and promotional products and services. We are seeking a new on-site Pre-Press + Graphic Designer to join our team here in Eugene, Oregon. This position is not open to remote applicants. You will be designing a wide variety of things for print media, including promotional materials and packaging. To be successful in this position, you’ll be a self-starter, capable of delivering brilliant creative ideas, and show amazing attention to detail.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare layups for print
- Review final layouts and suggest improvements when necessary
- Illustrating concepts by designing examples of art arrangement, size, type size and style and submitting them for approval
- Prepare finished art by operating necessary equipment and software
- Design and preparing packaging dielines and templates
- Coordinate with outside agencies, art services, web designer, marketing, and colleagues as necessary
- Ability to work simultaneously on several projects
- Communicate with clients about layout and design
- Track design time for billable hours
- Coordinate with the Sales and Production Teams to bill and complete projects
- Create a wide range of graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites
- Assemble disparate elements of a design, such as icons, photographs and other components
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field
- Experience as a graphic designer or in related field
- Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
- A strong understanding of commercial printing and 4-color process
- Proficiency with required desktop publishing tools, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
- A strong eye for visual composition
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to independently problem solve and bring creative solutions to the table
- Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines

Requirements:
- Proficient in operation of a 4 color offset printing press (Presstek DI preferred)
- Willingness to learn about the company's specialized processes and procedures

Responsibilities:
- Print 4 color process jobs as directed and according to the specifications on the job tickets.
- Ensure color and registration quality and consistency throughout press runs.
- Complete press room procedure reports before and after production of jobs.
- Provide information and updates to production manager on press schedule.
- Ensures products are printed and manufactured to meet/exceed printing industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and correct problems during the print job as they arise.
- Perform preventative and routine maintenance and small repairs on press equipment.
- Inform Production Manager of the need of materials, inks, and other supplies for the pressroom.
- Remain alert to all mechanical issues and refer to Production Manager as necessary.
- Comply with all established safety guidelines.
- Document daily production according to SOP's.
- Maintain clean and organized work space.
