We’re seeking someone who is ready to roll-up their sleeves and think outside the box. This role requires the ability and flexibility to hit the road running.
Galaxy Labs, Inc is looking for a Controller who is responsible for the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Knowledge of U.S. Code Section 280E. The successful candidate is a self-starter, comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; can effectively manage multiple competing priorities with significant autonomy; and consistently demonstrates proactive, strategic problem solving. The position reports to the President and Owner.
Responsibilities"
· Managing and monitoring all accounting operations and components of financial management.
· Prepare financial reports and ensure the accurate and timely dissemination including, but not limited to, monthly financial statements margin analysis and inventory valuations.
· Supervise the activities of the Accounting Department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, employee expense reports, payroll, and cash control.
· Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes, and data, and enhance the company's value.
· Standardize systems and reporting across all regional entities.
· Safeguarding assets and accurately recording all transactions by improving and implementing controls and checks.
· Remaining confidential with any and all financial, accounting and HR information. Improving and updating accounting policies and procedures to ensure all accounting functions are addressed and well documented.
· Oversee and manage Section 280E.
· Defining and adhering to operational best practices and training financial staff when needed.
· Advising with decision-making in regard to benchmarks, negotiations, pricing, capital investments and financial decisions.
· Preparing budget and adhering to budget by establishing schedules and preparing action plans.
· Ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements are being met.
· Complying with all local and international laws when it comes to finances, taxes and reporting measures.
· Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
· Staying up-to-date on Accounting, Finance and Human Resources trends.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
· Must have strong Cost Accounting background.
· Must have a thorough understanding of financial analysis, reporting, payroll, and accounts receivable/payable functions.
· Experience and familiarity with Section 280E.
· Must have strong communication, both written and verbal
· Must have a strong understanding of regulations and applicable laws
· Must be able to deliver high-quality work on tight deadlines and thrive within a fast-paced environment
· Must have excellent computer skills; have experience Microsoft Office, Excel and other internal software
· Represents Galaxy’s ethical and professional standards at all times.
Experience and Education:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance required
· CPA is a plus
· Cannabis, manufacturing and/or agriculture preferred
· Must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a Senior Accounting or Financial Management role
· Experience working with QuickBooks
· 4+ years of people leader experience
· Experience with ERP Systems

Galaxy Labs, Inc is looking for a Manager of Sales and Marketing to build, develop and lead strategic, creative sales and marketing plans that share our story and vision through utilizing a mix of earned media, digital, community engagement, and direct sales to build our company's brand in the cannabis market. This position is the primary marketing and sales leader for Galaxy Labs and is a critical role as we scale the company. This leader will work closely with the executive team to translate the brand strategy and positioning into a tactical marketing plan. The ideal candidate builds relationships with leaders, customers, vendors to evolve the business.
The position reports to the President and Owner.
Responsibilities:
Marketing:
· Responsible for operations of marketing functions: branding, communications & P.R., graphic design, social media, digital, advertising, growth & awareness, copy, and merchandise.
· Develop comprehensive marketing and advertising strategies, implementing effective processes and practices to drive results, ensuring high quality deliverables.
· Participates in strategic planning process in concert with other members of the executive management team.
· Lead a creative, data-driven marketing and branding strategy that shares our story and vision, by utilizing a mix of earned media, digital, community engagement, and marketing. Use existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within local media.
Sales:
· Develop strategies for building customer base and developing lead generation for the mid-west region, including prioritizing target accounts, refining our value proposition and raising our profile in the market.
· Prospect for clients, pitch new business, build and maintain customer relationships, and generate sales.
· Hit or exceed sales targets and accurately forecast business.
· Maintain deep knowledge of our product line and operating philosophy to educate retail staff on our products, while answering questions and gathering feedback.
· Resolve any partner/customer related concerns regarding sales and service.
· Monitor and report back on competition, economic indicators, and industry trends
· Weekly reporting on key metrics.
· Analyze sales statistics to identify areas for improvement.
· Track results and trends regularly for business forecasting.
· Participate in trade events (industry, retail and/or consumer).
· Meet or exceed all short- and long-term goals through effective planning and execution
· Maintain an accurate and up-to-date understanding of cannabis laws and regulations. Follow company protocols to influence and inform targeted decision-makers.

· Ability to build rapport with clients
· Able to travel 25-35% of the time.

Experience and Education:

· Minimum of 5 years’ sales and marketing experience, preferably in the Cannabis industry.
· Deep experience owning the sales cycle; researching, prospecting, outreach, structuring, pitching, negotiating, and closing.
· Experience with branding and social media marketing.
· Successful proven track record building out a territory.
· Experience working with start-ups and helping organizations through scaling
· Experience driving profitable sales
