District Sales Manager – Southern California- Southwest Territory – HORTILUX, a leader in the horticulture lighting industry has the opportunity for a District Sales Manager for the Southern California, Colorado and Southwest territory. Ideal candidate will have a background in horticultural lighting, indoor gardening, retail hydroponics, commercial cannabis cultivation/production or greenhouse management.
EYE HORTILUX, a division of EYE Lighting International, designs and manufactures high-quality lighting for cannabis and general agriculture production. Our grow lamps, HID and LED fixtures produce supplemental or artificial light for indoor horticulture applications.
Summary:
District Sales Managers will drive engagement with our retail and CEA accounts through selling activities, business development, and general support. This full-time position is responsible for a territory and must have the ability to work flexible hours (occasional overnight stays and weekends) and be in the field 4-5 days a week while providing timely feedback and follow up. District Sales Managers must be highly motivated, dependable and self-driven individuals who are organized and able to meet or exceed sales goals.
Responsibilities:
- Retail Store Support – assist with item sell-ins, building displays, training, pop-up events, rotation of products, category refreshes, new item cut-ins, and provide general guidance to the retailers across our portfolio of products.
- Commercial Support – Specify lighting solutions and provide technical services to develop new commercial clients and manage existing customer base.
- Sales – manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting to sale closing in a multi-channel environment.
- Analysis – utilize ERP software and other sales tools to manage customer accounts, set appointments and plan site visits. Provide constructive input to our management and marketing teams to help improve our processes, new product development and marketing activities.
- Special Events – conduct an array of events in support of our retail customer, which may include customer appreciation events, sales and staff training. Attend industry trade shows, and educational conferences.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years Sales experience; including 2+ years Business to Business sales
- Horticultural lighting sales experience is a plus
- Possesses excellent interpersonal skills, is motivated, team oriented, reliable, and sales focused
- Demonstrates ability to work independently and remotely
- Clean driving record, reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and current insurance is required
- Proficient computer (MS Office applications) and data-mining skills- including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint & Forms.
