We are looking to employ 3 knowledgeable Budtenders to assist customers in selecting suitable cannabis products. The responsibilities of the Budtender include greeting and welcoming customers, informing the manager of customer complaints and operational issues, and sharing firsthand experiences of cannabis products to address customer concerns. You should also be able to answer customers’ questions regarding the different strains of cannabis and methods of consumption.
To be successful as a Budtender, you should keep abreast of the latest developments in cannabis laws to maintain legal compliance. Ultimately, and outstanding Budtender should be able to demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills by ensuring that customers are well-informed and satisfied with their purchases.
The successful candidate will be, above all else, honest, reliable and punctual. They will possess outstanding customer service skills, strong work ethic, ability to be effective in a fast-paced work environment, and exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail. This entry-level, non-management position offers the opportunity to learn and grow with a new Cannabis Company from the ground up and has potential for increasing levels of responsibility over time. This position will report directly to the Manager or Manager on Duty for any given shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Store manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the store. There will be a strong focus on growing the business, developing staff and driving sales and service. The position will begin as hourly pay and will transition to a salaried position with a performance bonus structure once we are comfortable that we have the right person for the job and have historical data to compare against. The schedule will be somewhat flexible as long as it makes sense for the business. The managers duties will include but are not limited to:
Key Tasks:
- Own your store’s overall business to drive efficiency and grow sales
- Manage, supervise and direct the activities of the retail team
- Regularly run financial and operational reports to ensure optimal efficiency and financial performance
- Assists in creating budgets and sales forecasts. Participate in developing and implementing operational rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Enforce policies and ensure that staff follows best practices.
- Oversee and manage product inventory and compliance records.
- Ensure the retail environment remains compliant with security, inventory and local and state regulations.
- Manage financial records and cash handling procedures.
- Manage and inspire team to deliver the highest level of customer experience.
- Assessing competition; leveraging customer insights and feedback to drive the business and be the store of choice for our customers
- Ensure the safety and satisfaction of both the customers and employees
- Promote sales, service, and profit goals and lead staff to exceed them.
- Serve as a liaison to the local community as well as regulatory agencies.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of products in the store, as well as industry-wide product knowledge.
- Review performance of retail employees on a regular basis.
- Oversee all hiring, discipline, termination or advancement of employees.
- Ensure team communication, and lead team meetings.
- Coach, develop and maximize the success of all employees.
- Analyze business and create action plans to achieve store goals.
- Become an expert in all cannabis state-specific rules, regulations and laws. Execute and enforce compliance in the retail environment.
- Oversee receipt of wholesale and internal product deliveries.
- Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Communication Skills:

- Knowledge of laws and regulations related to cannabis operations.

- Possess a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and similar Google based programs (i.e. Sheets).
- Ability to research and understand regulations for particular cannabis retail markets.
- Ability to work independently and contribute effectively as part of a team.
