Job Title: Content Strategist and Technical Copywriter

Job Description
Position: Étage is seeking to hire a Copywriter with a minimum of five years of professional writing experience to work remotely or in our San Francisco Bay Area office.
What You Will Do: The Copywriter is responsible for creating dynamic copy that aligns with all other strategic and creative materials in the production of marketing and communications deliverables. Working with the Creative Director and Strategic Director, the copywriter interprets the strategic direction and creative vision into completed concepts/copy.
Reports to the Strategic Director.
Responsibilities:
- Listen: Download highly technical concepts from our clients via verbal conversations and white-boarding sessions. In depth research from digital sources, blogs, archived client materials, to best position client in the most relevant way taking into account the competitive landscape and convert the ideas to written documentation.
- Create: Write creative and dynamic copy that aligns with the predetermined strategic direction and creative vision for each client. Ensure that all copy is of the highest quality, unique, and communicates the clear and distinct message.
- Quality Control: Proofreading, fact checking, product confirmation and review of all copy before it is handed off to the Strategic Director for final review.
- Collaboration: Work with the Strategic Director and Creative Director to develop high impact ad campaigns and concepts for interactive/web, print, presentation, internal communications, stakeholder communications for agency and clients, as well as to develop and maintain text style templates for the agency and all clients to assure consistent brand identity across all media. =

Job Requirements
- A creative mind
- Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field
- Technical B2B writing experience
- Technical and/or scientific writing experience
- Exceptional communication skills – both for internal and external audiences
- Five+ years of professional copywriting experience with a marketing firm or agency
- Excellent writing and proofreading skills (spelling and grammar)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Experience in or knowledge of business-to-business (B2B) settings, technology, software or engineering a plus
- Ability to work in a challenging and ever changing environment, both as part of a team and also independently
Technical Requirements
Must be proficient on the PC and MAC platform with the following applications: Gmail, Word, Excel, Keynote, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook. (Preferable to have knowledge of Acrobat Suite)
This is a contract position and salary will be based on work experience.
