Responsibilities include:
- State and local cannabis and land use licensing applications, amendments and compliance issues;
- Maintaining corporate filings with the California and Delaware Secretaries of State;
- Due diligence and file administration;
- Coordinating corporate transactions and closings, with light drafting (using templates)
- Case and file administration, including tracking and coordinating retainer agreements, conflict waivers, active task lists and billing matters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university;
- At least 2 years of experience as a paralegal in California, or its functional equivalent;
- Hard worker;
- Discreet; must maintain client confidentiality;
- Team player, but able to work independently;
- Effectively meet deadlines;
- Quick learner;
- Positive attitude; and
- Sense of humor.
