SUMMARY:
This position in conjunction with the Store Manager is responsible for oversight and management of all aspects of inventory for assigned locations to optimize investment while providing high level of service and product availability to customers. This includes but not limited to maintaining a system to control stock levels, set-up, determining and maintaining stocking levels, and reduction of excess and inactive product.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Consult with Store Management to provide reports on product selection for Store
- Works with Buyers to expedite orders, track deliveries, resolve shipping errors, and maintain accurate records following established guidelines
- Monitor the entering and reconciling of product invoices into POS system
- Coordinate payment of orders with PTCE Finance within established procedures
- Coordinate with Store Management on the Employee Sampling Program (intake of samples, document the distribution and record in inventory system) to ensure compliance with LCB regulations
- Coordinate with Store Management Team to ensure products are priced appropriately
- Partner with Store Manager to develop and implement inventory control procedures for both front and back of the store
- Monitor the compliance of S.O.P. for Inventory Control throughout the store, report any discrepancies to Store Manager
- Assist with daily, weekly and monthly inventory counts
- Audit inventory counts and products as scheduled and as needed
- May assist with administrative, reconciliation and customer service duties as needed

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position supervises Inventory Control Coordinator, Inventory Control Specialist and Clerk/Stockers.
MINIMUM/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 21 years of age
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
2 years of Inventory Management experience
1 year of Buying/Procurement experience
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers and other staff.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute ratio and percent and interpret graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret technical instructions in various forms and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
This position is classified as a sensitive Tribal position. Therefore, applicant must submit to and clear a pre-employment criminal background check.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of Inventory Management
- Knowledge of applicable regulations, ability to familiarize oneself with applicable Tribal Ordinances/Regulations
- Knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures
- Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, customers and vendors
- Ability to work a FLEXIBLE work schedule may include nights and weekends
- Ability to exercise independent judgment
- Excellent business communication skills
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate skills in Excel and Outlook
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to stand for extended periods of time performing repetitive motions. Frequently reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This is a retail store setting; noise level ranges from quiet to moderate.
