Position Summary
Cedar Psychiatry (in Layton and Draper) is looking for a compassionate individual who is devoted to treating patients through a variety of innovative psychotherapeutic methods. Must be able to maintain interdisciplinary treatment by reviewing and evaluating treatment plans, as well as monitoring the effects of medications. Ability to maintain historical records and correctly document symptoms, medications, and treatment events.

Qualifications:
· Licensed in state of practice
· Strong functional knowledge of general psychiatric principles and practices
· Maintain license void of personal and/or personal misconduct.
· Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Establishes positive, trusting rapport with patients.
- Diagnoses and treats mental health disorders.
- Creates individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances.
- Meets with patients regularly to provide counseling, treatment and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Conducts ongoing assessments of patient progress.
- Involves and advises family members when appropriate.
- Refers patients to outside specialists or agencies when necessary.
- Maintains thorough records of patient meetings and progress.
- Follows all safety protocols and maintains client confidentiality.
- Contributes to practice by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Position Summary
Seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate psychologist, full-time, to join our growing team of mental health prescribers and therapists along the Wasatch front, in one of our new clinic locations in Salt Lake county.
Psychologist Job Responsibilities:
- Talk to individuals and foster their positive mental health and personal growth.
- Evaluate patients’ needs and accommodate them accordingly.
- Study factors that affect human behavior.
- Develop treatment plans.
- Administer psychological tests and determines results.
- Provide counseling by leading group or individual sessions.
- Research variations in behavioral patterns over a person’s lifespan, examine societal trends, and attempt to correct disorders caused by improper development.
- Work to prevent, diagnose and treat mental disorders, and work with physicians to determine the best course of treatment for patients.
Psychologist Qualifications/Skills:
- Knowledge of psychological theory and practice
- Superior communication skills
- Research skills
- Interest in how people think and process information
- Ability to empathize with a wide range of people
- Listening skills
- Capacity for handling stressful and possible volatile situations
Education and Experience Requirements:
· Applicant must possess unrestricted license to practice in the State of Utah
· Post-doctoral applicants must have Ph.D./Psy.D. and possess Utah psych resident license allowing you to practice under the supervision of a licensed psychologist

· Current, valid board certification in psychiatry
· Degree from an accredited medical school, plus completion of an approved psychiatric residency
· Licensed in state of practice
· Current DEA registration
· Excellent knowledge and familiarity with current DSM criteria
· Strong functional knowledge of general psychiatric principles and practices
· Maintain license void of personal and/or personal misconduct.
· Be able to pass an extensive background check including all educational requirements and licensing.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
· Screen and assess patients via psychiatric evaluations, including interviews, medical histories, physical exams, observations, and psychological testing
· Prescribe/administer medications according to diagnosis
· Monitor patients to determine efficacy of medications
· Develop treatment plans, measure progress, and make adjustments as needed
· Provide crisis intervention when needed
· Complete clinical documentation in an accurate and timely manner
· Management and administration of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation
