Case Makes Amazing
Looking for a position that can add a little glitz and glimmer to your life and to the products of the customers we serve? At Case Makes, our wide range of laminates and coatings help make packaging and print materials astound, dazzle, and jump off the shelf. Our products are used by the brands you know and love for the products that you see and use daily: cosmetics, personal care, beverages, food (our personal favorite), technology, entertainment, and even cannabis (we won’t tell your parents). Our core values are (1) Flexible, (2) “Own It”, (3) Reputation Matters, (4) Teamwork, and (5) Humor. We are always looking for those who can aspire to improve our workplace atmosphere through honest hard work, a great attitude, a little bit of curiosity, and a big sense of humor.
We’re adding a new member to our team here: 2nd Shift Laminator Operator! What exactly does this position entail, you ask? Well, in addition to the standard battery of magic tricks and superhuman feats that we expect of all our teammates, this position will have primary responsibility to operate our focal piece of equipment—the laminator! A great laminator operator will be able to achieve high levels of quality throughput and lead his crew to meet productivity standards. If that’s not specific enough for you, try this list on for size:
- Participate in safety initiatives and commit to a safe working environment, free of accident and harm to employees and the community
- Optimize lamination productivity and throughput in balance with safety and quality objectives
- Troubleshoot machine issues that cause quality defects or suboptimal production
- Make recommendations to management to improve productivity and efficiency
- Operate data collection units (DCU) to ensure inventory, data, production cycle, and costing accuracy
- Cooperate with managers and supervisors to use process controls and lean principles that improve total operational effectiveness
- Ensure material handlers work as a cohesive unit to prepare materials, check quality, and maximize machine uptime
- Support the training program within Case Makes to bolster cooperation and cross-training across the operation
- Perform operator PMs as required
- Support area 5s to ensure good machine maintenance
- "Other duties as assigned” (of course we would add this one!)
We’re ideally looking for a teammate with at least three (3) years of relevant work experience in machine operation and/or manufacturing operations. It would be super if you had experience operating machines, particularly those designed for web handling (a thousand imaginary bonus points if it’s a laminator!). While it’s not required, we’d love it if you’ve had previous management or leadership positions. All this experience combined will help you to move quickly up the learning curve and also keep the machine from becoming sentient and taking over the whole operation.
You don’t need a degree for this position, but we’d love someone who has their GSD (“get stuff done”) or has paid tuition to the school of hard knocks. Your educational background should provide you the tools and ideas you need in order to know what makes an excellent operator, but if you don’t have the formal book learning, we still value the hard work, experience, curiosity, and best practices you can bring from other positions and workplaces.
We believe it was world-famous hip-hop artist Jay-Z that once said, “I got 99 problems, but a lack of skills ain’t one of them.” We’re not sure if Jay-Z was planning to apply for this role, but if he did, we’d want to see that his skills included at least:
- Basic computer and controller skills (explorer file navigation, save/save-as, button interfaces)
- Beginner Excel skills (file saving, data entry, simple calculations)
- Maintenance and mechanical aptitude (pumps, gears, motors, hoists, etc., troubleshooting)
- Basic math skills (addition and subtraction of fractions, basic number sense) → don’t worry; we’ll provide the calculator!
- The strength of an ox (or at least one that can lift at least 35 pounds), the stamina of a giraffe
(who pretty much spends all day on his feet), and the toughness of a bear (who can live and work in both high heat and humidity as well as cold, dry climates)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload, shifting between a variety of tasks as necessary
Lastly, some other job details: You’ll need to be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship to throw you hat into the ring for this one. This job is located in Osgood, Indiana. The core working hours for this position are 1:45pm-10:15pm Monday thru Friday, wIth 30 minutes for lunch, but there may be times that other hours are required for training or coverage issues, including early mornings, late evenings, overnight, and overtime. While we’re open to all candidates, we’re not offering any relocation benefits at this time (sad face). This is our first whack at this job description, so the final job might be subject to some changes. Hey, that’s what being flexible is all about!

Our products are used by the brands you know and love for the products that you see and use daily: cosmetics, personal care, beverages, food (our personal favorite), technology, entertainment, and even cannabis (we won’t tell your parents). Our core values are (1) Flexible, (2) “Own It”, (3) Reputation Matters, and (4) Teamwork. We are always looking for those who can aspire to improve our workplace atmosphere through honest hard work, a great attitude, a little bit of curiosity, and a big sense of humor.
We’re adding a new role to our team here: Business Support Manager! What exactly does this position entail, you ask? Well, in addition to the standard battery of magic tricks and superhuman feats that we expect of all our teammates, this position is quite literally a hybrid mishmash of required competencies that don’t fall into a specific cookie-cutter role. You will wear many hats, but it’s a perfect opportunity to make an impact with positive changes and put your thumbprint on our business here. These are the specific things that we at least are fairly certain we’d like you to undertake:
· Provide financial and accounting support to enter invoices, financial planning for cash flows, apply cash receipts to open A/R, create journal entries for cost adjustments, support budgeting/forecasting, and do other finance-y stuff
· Serve as the local human resources contact for the Case Makes organization
· Analyze production and cost data to provide recommendations to meet and elevate production standards and accountability
· Manage and support customer service operations with order entry, PO placement, and job estimation
· Provide support for logistics and freight dispatch as required
· Work cooperatively with business operations to meet customer service, supply chain, planning, and sales goals
· Ensure ERP system data integrity, particularly as it pertains to production, inventory management, and job costing
· “Other duties as assigned” (of course we would add this one!)
Do you have what it takes?
We’re ideally looking for a teammate with at least five (5) years of relevant work experience in accounting and/or finance, business operations, data analysis, and/or office administration. It would be super if you had experience in a manufacturing environment and even better if you have worked in analytical roles. We’d love it if you’ve had previous management or leadership experience. This experience will help you to move quickly up the learning curve to be a helpful, productive contributor to our team.
You’ll impress us if you have a college degree in related field (finance, accounting, business management, industrial/mechanical engineering, statistics/mathematics, etc.) -OR- if you have commensurate work experience in related discipline(s) and/or relevant certifications. Your background should provide you the tools and ideas you need to be successful in a highly-analytical and detail-oriented role. While this is a high-level contributor position, we value the hard work, experience, curiosity, and best practices you can bring from other positions and workplaces, with or without the formal education.
So maybe you aren’t a graduate of The Derek Zoolander Center for Kids Who Can't Read Good and Wanna Learn to Do Other Stuff Good Too, but we at least hope you can read good and can do this other stuff good, too:
· Microsoft Excel. “If Excel is your friend, then you are our friend.”™ This means data analysis, financial modelling, formula calculations, sorting, filtering, conditional formatting, data validation, pivot tables, macro support, etc.
· Mind the GAAP: a working knowledge of finnance and acounting is helpful, and attention to detail (like did you notice how we misspelled both “finance” and “accounting”?)
· Multitask and prioritize workload, shifting between a variety of tasks as necessary (obvs)
· Working knowledge of and experience with ERP/MRP systems (we use EFI Radius, so if you know that, it will help!), and double bonus points if you know Crystal Reports
· Knowledge of basic business principles: margin, working capital, profitability, etc.
· Mathematical skills in converting units of measure, calculating proportions, and using simple single variable functions
· Solid verbal and written communication skills with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders
· Be someone that other people want to work with (< such an underrated skill!)
Lastly, some other job details: You’ll need to be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship to throw you hat into the ring for this one. This job is located in Osgood, Indiana. The core working hours for this position are Monday-Friday (hours TBD), but there may be times that other hours are required for training or coverage issues, including early mornings or late evenings. While we’re open to all candidates, we’re not offering any relocation benefits at this time (sad face). This is our first whack at this job description, so the final job might be subject to some changes. Hey, that’s what being flexible is all about!
The “Silver” Lining

We’re hiring for a position on our team here: 3rd Shift Supervisor! What exactly does this position entail, you ask? Well, in addition to the standard battery of magic tricks and superhuman feats that we expect of all our teammates, this position will have primary responsibility for oversight of manufacturing activities on their shift. If that’s not specific enough for you, try this list on for size:
- Participate in safety initiatives and commit to a safe working environment, free of accident and harm to employees and the community
- Learn the proper operation of all equipment to be able to support, troubleshoot, and provide backup coverage
- Ensure ERP system data integrity, particularly as it pertains to production, inventory management, and job costing
- Optimize production throughput in balance with safety, quality, customer service, and inventory objectives

- “Other duties as assigned” (of course we would add this one!)
Do you have what it takes?
We’re looking for a teammate with at least three (3) years of relevant work experience in manufacturing operations, management, and/or master planning/scheduling. It would be super if you had experience in a manufacturing environment and even better if you have worked in packaging, print, or web handling. We’d love it if you’ve had previous management or leadership positions. This work experience will give you a baseline understanding of the manufacturing process that you can apply to
You don’t need a degree for this position, but we’d love someone who has their GSD (“get stuff done”) or has paid tuition to the school of hard knocks. It’s helpful, though, if you have had formal training in management, maintenance, or engineering. Your educational background may provide you the tools and ideas you need in order to know what makes an excellent supervisor, but if you don’t have the formal book learning, we still value the hard work, experience, curiosity, and best practices you can bring from other positions and workplaces.
The knowledge you have learned from training and workplace experiences is important, but as Shinichi Suzuki once said, “Knowledge is not a skill. Knowledge plus ten thousand times is a skill.” Here are some things we hope you have done ten thousand times or so in order to become skilled:
- Working knowledge of and experience with ERP/MRP systems (we use EFI Radius, so if you know that, it will help!)
- Basic Excel skills (formula calculations, sorting, filtering, data validation)
- Mathematical skills in converting unit of measure, calculating proportions, and using simple single variable functions
- Competence at learning and operating web handling equipment (laminator, sheeter, winder)
- Able to operate heavy machinery and powered industrial trucks (forklift, clamp truck)
- Good verbal and written communication skills with employees and administrative staff
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload, shifting between a variety of tasks as necessary
Lastly, some other job details: You’ll need to be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship to throw you hat into the ring for this one. This job is located in Osgood, Indiana. This is our first whack at this job description, so the final job might be subject to some changes. Hey, that’s what being flexible is all about! Well, in addition to the standard battery of magic tricks and superhuman feats that we expect of all our teammates, this position will have primary responsibility to do everything they can to keep production flowing and machines running! A great material handler will allow their operators to achieve high levels of quality throughput and help the shift meet productivity standards. - Participate in safety initiatives and commit to a safe working environment, free of accident and harm to employees and the community
- Optimize machine productivity and throughput in balance with safety and quality objectives
- Use forklift, clamp truck, and other powered industrial equipment (PIT) to move materials between workcenters
- Enter data into computer logs to maintain production coordination and accuracy
- Perform necessary quality checks to ensure that customers only receive the best of what we can produce
- Assist operators to load/unload materials from their machines to optimize uptime

Do you have what it takes?
We’re ideally looking for a teammate with some relevant work experience in warehouse, distribution, and/or manufacturing operations. It would be super if you had experience operating machines, particularly those designed for web handling. While it’s not required, we’d love it if you’ve had previous supervisory or leadership positions. All this experience combined will help you feel comfortable with the work here and give you the confidence to evolve from an energetic young Pikachu to an electrified Raichu.
You don’t need a degree for this position, but we’d love someone who has their GSD (“get stuff done”) or has paid tuition to the school of hard knocks. Those of you who were alive in 1992 might remember that the Beastie Boys “got the skills to pay the bills.” Well, it’s been almost 30 years since that iconic song was sung, but it still remains that you need skills to pay the bills. Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Basic computer and controller skills (explorer file navigation, save/save-as, button interfaces)
- Beginner Excel skills (file saving, data entry, simple calculations)
- Able to operate heavy equipment, including a forklift or clamp truck
- Basic math skills (addition and subtraction of fractions, basic number sense) don’t worry; we’ll provide the calculator!
- The strength of a mighty tiger (or at least one that can lift at 35 pounds), the stamina of a flamingo (who pretty much spends all day on his feet), the toughness of a hippo (who can live and work in both high heat and humidity but doesn’t mind the cool days, either), and the cross-pollination skills of a bumblebee (we’re not sure why on this one, though)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload, shifting between a variety of tasks as necessary
