The role of the Cultivation Assistant Manager is to collaborate with the Cultivation Manager to ensure the continued health and propagation of the garden. The health and cleanliness of the garden is the primary goal and responsibility of the Cultivation Assistant Manager. This includes implementing plans for: planting, fertilization, pest management and equipment maintenance/upkeep. The Cultivation Assistant Manager will be expected to maintain set schedules, generate clean products at targeted yield and quality levels. He/she will maintain a continuous harvest schedule to consistently meet the demands of the qualifying patients of the state and ensure the quality and variety of the final products. The Cultivation Assistant Manager will oversee a team of Cultivation Associate and Cultivation Assistant to help carry out the plan created by the Cultivation Manager. The Cultivation Assistant Manager will also be expected to step in and aid the Cultivation Associates/Cultivation Assistants and Processors when and where needed as directed by his/her supervisor the Cultivation Manager.

Canuvo is one of the eight licensed Medical Cannabis Dispensaries in Maine.Canuvo is looking for a Cultivation Assistant to join our Cultivation team. This person will support the Cultivation Associates and Manager by completing various tasks around the department such as pruning, cloning, transplanting, and flowering room coverage during Associates' days off. This person will also be heavily involved in cleaning, upkeep and sanitation of the cultivation facility including, but not limited to, breaking down and setting up rooms, washing and sanitizing equipment.This position will start off Monday-Friday during training and will shift to either Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday once training is complete. Individuals who succeed in this role like to work this their hands and see the immediate results of their hard work. This is a physically demanding position that requires sitting and standing for long periods of time.
- Must stay current and adhere to all regulations and policies set forth by the State of Maine Medical Marijuana Program.
- Follows SOP’s and comply with all safety regulations.
- Learn and apply safe and effective commercial marijuana cultivation techniques.
- Consistently perform daily work in assigned cultivation rooms such as cloning, transplanting, pruning, plant training, and cleaning of cultivation rooms/work areas.

Responsibilities· Oversee all departments: cultivation, processing, extraction,manufacturing and retail
· Developing and implementing guidelines for employee evaluations,recruitment and promotion
· Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
· Researching and implementing new directives for business growth and prosperity
· Identifying and targeting areas in which Canuvo can improve operations
· Set strategic operational goals for each department and identify KPIs for each reporting manager
· Provide constructive feedback
· Plan, implement and manage the overall long-term business success strategy
· Plan and monitor the day-to-day operations
· Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation
· Evaluate and monitor the efficiency of business procedures
· Manage operationa lbudgets to promote profitability
· Manage relationships with external partners and vendors
· Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability
· Evaluate regularly the efficiency of our business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or 5+ yearsexperience managing a complex enterprise’s human resources, finances,operations or strategies
· Proven ability of managing budgets in a similar role
· Proficient operational and financial acumen
· Strong ethical leadership abilities with excellentwritten and verbal communication skills
· Strong people skills and outstanding organizationalskills
· Ability to build and manage multiyear projections
· In depth knowledge of diverse business functions andprinciples such as supply chain, finance, customer service, human resourcesetc.
· Working knowledge of data analysis andperformance/operation metrics
· Familiarity with MS Office and various business software(e.g. POS, CRM)
· Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
· Good time-management skills
· Great interpersonal and communication skills
