The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing administrative duties. You will support our business growth and accounting department by processing invoices, transactions, expenses as well as updating our accounting database. This position will give you the opportunity to grow your accounting knowledge and experience.
This position will be perfect for someone with an administrative background looking to learn bookkeeping. I am willing to teach the right candidate. This position will be mainly administrative but can lead to an accounting role for the right person. If you are in school for accounting or business or just have an interest in the field please express your interest as i would love to teach the right person skills to succeed.
Qualifications
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED, Associate's degree preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google, and similar software.
- Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.
- Ability to withstand prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer.
- Someone with a growth mindset, willing to dig in and solve problems
- Someone looking for startup experience, building something from the ground up.
- Able to pass all background checks.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Responsibilities
- Manage phone call and correspondence (including emails, letters, memos, faxes, and forms)
- Attend meetings and take detailed notes
- Participate in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
- Organize contact lists and filing systems
- Review and update office policies and procedures
- Monitor office supplies and research new deals and suppliers
- Prepare and submit expense reports
- Collaborate with executive and senior administrative assistants to handle requests and queries from senior managers
- Run errands and visit retail locations to deliver corporate mail and supplies.
- Help coordinate meeting needs to include
- Develop strong and effective working relationships throughout the organization, with our vendors, customers and community.
- Handles a high volume of confidential and sensitive information with the utmost professionalism and confidentiality.
- Maintains supply inventory and keeps all areas stocked on a consistent basis.
- Assists management with ongoing projects as assigned, balancing short and long-term deadlines.
- Performs light data entry, general expense management and proofreading of both internal and external documents.
