The Wine, Spirits, Beer Merchandiser position serves an essential role in the Customer Service experience at Applejack Wine & Spirits by ensuring the shelves are always stocked to better serve our Customers. The Merchandiser will also assist the store management team in maintaining a positive environment that provides fast, efficient and friendly customer service.

Duties and responsibilities:

Provide Excellent Customer Service

• Proactively approach customers to identify their needs
• Address customer needs and seek out expert advice as needed
• Maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced retail environment

Maintain Sales Floor Standards*

• Ensure department is always well-stocked
• Maintain safe aisles and address any empty boxes as needed
• Proactively investigate and address on-hand stock issues
• Ensure proper signing is in place and correct

*

Maintain a Clean and Safe Work Environment*

• Ensure the sales floor is free from clutter
• Sweep/Mop in the event of breakage
• Merchandising product in a safe manner

*

Assist Customers to Increase Sales*

• Recommend products based on customer needs
• Show additional products to drive sales

*

General*

• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 21 years of age
• Team player
• Dress and present self in a clean and professional manner
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment
• Interest in the alcohol beverage industry

Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift 40-60 lbs.
• Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule which includes nights, weekends and holidays
• Must pass background check

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
