The Budtending Sales Associate works one-on-one with customers. You will be listening attentively to their needs and understanding of the store's product(s) for the highest quality recommendation(s). You must be willing and ready to put forth the time and effort into the store. You must have an enthusiastic and high-energy as well as ready to put your best foot forward every shift. Strong communication skills as well as a friendly personality is a must and has a history of providing excellent customer service skills. Position Summary
The Retail Dispensary Store Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining Guest Services, oversees and is accountable for the operation of a store ensuring maximum sales and profitability through merchandise, inventory, expense control, human resources management, and managing operating costs and shrinkage.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Ensuring that each Guest receives outstanding Guest Service by providing a Guest friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every Guest, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of Guest Service
- Analyzing and measuring business trends; developing and implementing plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals and objectives while working within the METRC and POS systems.
- Ensuring appropriate merchandise stock levels, merchandise displays, and assortment in all departments; ensuring selling floor is adequately stocked
- Comparison shopping of product prices in the area and reporting results; sharing information with Executive Team and making appropriate price adjustments
- Reviewing department/store trends in order to recommend and initiate changes for maximizing goals and objectives
- Ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures through regular store management and staff meetings, store walk-throughs, and audits
- Continually evaluating and reacting to performance issues and actively recruiting management candidates
- Training and developing store management in all aspects of the business; directing and monitoring training and development for all store personnel
- Performing other duties as assigned by Executive Team
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Cannabis Industry experience required, METRC experience and knowledge preferred
- 5+ years previous retail dispensary experience preferred
- 2+ years in a dispensary management role preferred
- High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to process information and merchandise through computer system and POS register system
- Proven understanding of industry standards and trends, keen on vendor relationship management.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as department manual
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to diffuse tense situations
- Demonstrated ability to manage employees with varying shifts and responsibilities
- Willingness to cover shifts and responsibilities of other employees as needed
- Ability to communicate effectively with associates, guests, vendors, and senior management
- Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation
- Ability to work varied hours/days to oversee store operations
