We have an exciting opportunity for a Field Marketing Specialist to join us on our journey to transform our bold ambitions for the Missouri medical cannabis market into a reality. Our Field Marketing Specialist, based in Kansas City, MO, will increase our brand recognition and loyalty through in-person marketing initiatives in their assigned territory. The schedule for this position includes some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
The Regional Field Marketing Specialist position will cover the Kansas City metro area ensuring the Proper family of brands is fully represented at our dispensary partners’ retail locations with high visibility for patients. Time will be split between in-store merchandising efforts, scheduling, and executing patient-facing activations, and tracking the impact of our efforts through CRM software.
Their Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Increasing brand awareness, loyalty, and sales in assigned territory. This work may include but is not limited to:
- Maintaining a strong in-store presence at wholesale partner dispensaries, scheduling, and performing at least 8 in-store pop-ups per week;
- Collaborating with the Sales and Marketing team to research and analyze assigned markets to understand customer trends and competitor activity;
- Collaborating with the Sales team to conduct staff trainings with partner dispensaries, including new store comprehensive trainings and ongoing new product trainings;
- Assisting with building a localized plan to increase brand awareness and product consumption;
- Maintaining product displays and demo packaging in the market with regular monthly audits of in-store displays and merchandising opportunities;
- Articulating the company’s mission, vision, and goals to the assigned market;
- Representing the brand through networking and targeted events;
- Building rapport with customers and dispensary partners;
- Assisting the local sales team to ensure distribution and visibility in retail dispensaries close to target campuses;
- Maintaining a positive image of the brand;
- Special event assistance all over the state of Missouri.
- Tracking retail customer preferences, metrics, and media campaigns.
- Participating in sales & marketing meetings, training, and workshops as necessary.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience with consumer facing brand education and/or Ambassador role;
- Strong passion for quality and attention to detail;
- Friendly, approachable, and outgoing personality;
- Advanced computer skills, including the use of windows, email, and Microsoft office;
- Advanced verbal communication skills, including group presentation;
- Intermediate knowledge of business process improvement tools.
- Intermediate knowledge of process and procedure development and documentation.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, supervisors, and employees.
- Ability to prepare complex written reports and other documents.
- Ability to comprehend complex verbal and written instructions.
The following expectations for this role:
- 100% reliable transportation;
- Ability to pass annual MVR background checks;
- Ability to maintain proof of car insurance (at least state coverage requirements) and present bi-annually;
- Requires the ability to work standing for several hours at a time;
- The ability to lift to 50lbs;
- The work environment varies from off-site events to in-store retail activations;
- Requires work on evenings, weekends, and some holidays;.
- Requires local day travel up to 90% of the time.
