Cannabis Budtender Customer Service Cannabis Industry Jobs

Coastal Wellness, a licensed medical and recreational cannabis dispensary, welcomes talented individuals with exceptional customer service skills to apply and potentially join our highly-rated team. This is a retail position within the cannabis industry. Availability to work weekend shifts and holidays is expected. The Budtender is responsible for the initial greeting, helping the patient/customer with their individual confidential needs and guiding and educating them on the differences and benefits of our products. Budtenders help ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through excellent product knowledge and sales, is respectful, and builds patient confidence and trust leading to and creating repeat customer loyalty. Strict inventory controls are followed to ensure complete compliance.

All staff must be 21 years of age or older. Background screening through the City of Vista for a Licensed Cannabis Storefront Work Permit is required.

Responsibilities and Duties

Responsibilities include, although are not limited to:

• Prepare stations and ensure they are ready to go at opening time
• Welcome all guests/patients and help ensure they receive excellent customer service and receive your full attention during their transaction
• Be on time for each and every shift
• Availability on the weekend and holidays is expected
• Maintain fully stocked and clean stations at all times
• Assist with running side work, stocking and cleaning during any and all downtime
• Complete opening and closing cleaning protocol and ensure organization checklist is followed
• Participate in periodic staff meetings
• Maintain proper cash handling procedure at all times
• Inform the General Manager if any product in inventory is running low
• Wear clean logo items for your shift and check that your station is ready and prepared for your shift
• Be knowledgeable about anything and everything cannabis related
• Know any and all special promotions and daily deals including Weedmaps deals
• Participate in staff events
• Be knowledgeable and responsible regarding shared content on social media and industry trends
• Perform other duties or projects as assigned by Shift Lead, Assistant Manager or General Manager

Qualifications and Skills/ Requirements

• Must be 21 years or older
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Excellent communicator
• Precise math skills
• Organizational skills
• Attention to Detail
• Multi-task oriented
• Stress management and ability to keep composure
• High school graduate. College coursework completion is helpful
• Knowledge of cannabis strains, edibles, extracts and current products on the market is a plus
• Be clear thinking
• Team player who helps promote a positive work environment

Physical Abilities and Demands

• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time during shift
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds, and up to 50 pounds on occasion with assistance
• Good finger dexterity, and ability to reach with arms and grasp with hands
• Ability to adjust eyes to focus and see clearly both long and close distances
• Able to speak and communicate effectively

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $15.50 per hour
