Role:
Cloud Cannabis Co is seeking a Backseat Driver that is detail oriented, friendly, and highly motivated. This individual must be an efficient multi-tasker that works well under pressure individually and with a team. This individual must have exemplary communication and problem-solving skills to bring to the team. They are responsible for the safe, orderly, and expeditious movement of the Cloud delivery driver fleet throughout Michigan.
Responsibilities:
· Work closely with other departments to optimize and coordinate delivery order cycle; Plan, direct, and coordinate the delivery logistics within the Cloud Cannabis driver fleet as well as the activities of other services including, but not limited to, fulfillment and loading.
· Provide role and goal clarity to team member(s) and support them in achievement of their goals; Train and coach other dispatch team members, drivers, fulfillment, and loading professionals including performance management.
· Continually review and improve the process documentation for all functions associated with the Dispatch, Order Management, and Customer Service to create and maintain a “best in class” delivery practices and teams.
· Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
· Direct activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking delivery drivers/vehicles; Actively track Driver fleet including current locations of drivers, drivers’ destinations, delivery progress, and order completions.
· Collaborate with various team members to formulate strategies for efficient deliveries; Create optimized, hazard/ delay free routes that meet rapid delivery expectations from order placement to customer door arrival. Will consider school schedules, high traffic times, weather, road conditions, scheduled special events impacting routes, etc.
· Issue information such as road/route usage, weather, traffic, safety, navigation instructions, and pertinent data on other drivers/vehicles operating in vicinity.
· Monitor operations to ensure that delivery, and dispatch, comply with any and all current or future federal, state, or local regulations, ordinances, policies and procedures, safety rules, DOT rules, and all other government regulations; Including the creation and assembly of manifests.
· Answer all calls immediately from arriving/departing/in transit delivery drivers.
· Perform critical weather observations and disseminate timely weather information to drivers and customers as it pertains to delivery timeliness and expectations.
· Operate equipment such as: telephones, computer systems, recording systems, weather applications, etc.
· Alert 911, other first responders, and Cloud leadership to drivers in crisis situations.
· Immediately clocks incoming ASAP delivery orders to create tight geographic clusters of orders for optimized Driver route and shortest possible delivery times.
· Validate each orders product pricing and apply any necessary discounts, reward points, etc to align leaf logic and dutchie receipts.
· Monitors order fulfillment times, ensuring no order exceeds 5 minutes from customer placement to leaving with a Driver.
· Manage Delivery times. ASAP deliveries will not exceed rapid delivery expectations from placement to arrival at the customer door.
· Delivery order customer relations such as calling customers on behalf of the Driver or calling to address customer questions or concerns so the Driver can keep door times to a minimum.
· Complete on leaf logic, Onfleet, curbside data system updates and entries on behalf of the Driver including but not limited to assigning orders, verifying pricing, completing delivered orders, closing completed routes, updating manifests if delivery failure occurs or routes are disrupted, and generally managing any elements that impact METRC.
· Manage company vehicle safety and maintenance.
· Ensure continual focus on the customer experience from all team members; Provide customer service to delivery customers as necessary to provide the best possible customer experience and smoothest possibly delivery handoffs.
· Direct investigations to verify and resolve customer or driver complaints; Handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances or conflicts, and otherwise negotiate with others.
· Create and maintain spreadsheets for data tracking and reporting.
· Support scaling department to meet Cloud delivery growth initiates.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School Diploma with experience acceptable.
· Experience with managing dispatch for driving fleets.
· Experience with technology platforms and devices.
· Experience with data tracking and reporting in both data systems and Excel.
- Strong critical thinking and resolution in ambiguous situations.
