Cannabis Section Grower Receiving Plant Lead Jobs

Terra Nova Nurseries, one of the world's leading breeders of ornamental plants, seeks a Section Grower/Plant Receiving Lead for our beautiful Canby location. This position would help lead a team of English/Spanish speakers, and has the following requirements:

• Two year degree in Horticulture or two years growing experience
• Training or education in IPM, pest scouting and ID
• Skilled in water techniques and knowledge of growth habits for various genera
• Ability for follow detailed instruction, various procedures and guidelines
• Strong computer skills, iPhone, tablet, accurate data entry
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of crop cultural practices for tracking and reference
• Understanding of sanitization standards and protocol
• Ability to accomplish physical demands including but not limited to repetitive walking, bending, twisting, squatting, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Understand concepts of N: P:K fertilizer concentrations, pH, parts per million (ppm)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) helpful

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Operate and program automatic watering systems with ability to problem solve error messages.
• Follow the receiving process for all ST3 & URC plants; checking for potential pests, diseases and problems
• Ability to take photographs to clearly demonstrate condition of plant material and any problems found in receiving process
• Excellent written communication with vendors in regards to quality of plant material.
• Reading essential labels and signage

We are a tobacco free facility at all times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
