About This Role
Every position at Common Citizen from seed to sale, is contributing to our mission to serve our fellow citizens of Michigan with the highest quality, safest cannabis product through our highly individualized and education-oriented provisioning centers. The Retail Compliance Lead will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance at all retail locations, including maintaining accurate inventory and assisting with CRA and other regulatory agency inspections and inquiries.
Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Coordinate and facilitate inventory cycle count and product movement within the stores
· Work with the Compliance Manager and store management to ensure all inventory data is accurate
· Audit the physical inventory to ensure consistency with the virtual inventory
· Research inventory out of balance situations and adjustments; implement controls to reduce adjustments
· Conduct mock inspections and audits to ensure compliance with CRA regulations
· Assist with retail compliance audits with CRA and BFS.
· Advise company leadership on retail compliance regulations and ensure store initiatives are done in compliance with applicable regulations
· Act as the on-site compliance liaison between state and local regulators and other staff
· Ensure workplace health and safety policies and procedures are followed
· Seeks to understand all aspects of distribution and manufacturing and facility usage patterns to effectively plan for compliance and auditing requirements
The Experience You Bring and the Skills we Need:
- 3+ years compliance experience, preferably with focus on inventory and audit and in heavily regulated industry.
- 1 year of compliance experience in cannabis industry preferred.
- Experience reading, interpreting and implementing regulations.
- Must possess understanding of regulatory requirements.
- Strong problem solving and effective communication skills.
- Self-motivated and works well without being micromanaged.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict policies and procedure.
- Well organized and ability to keep deadlines.
- Works well with all peers.
- Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment.
- Basic Excel, Word, and general compute knowledge.
- Must be exceptionally well organized to handle large amount of inventory data, analysis and reporting.
- Work with managers to maintain an accurate account of non-stock and unavailable inventory.

- This is a dynamic team, and as such daily tasks may vary, resulting in a fast paced and lively work environment.
