The Nicotine and Cannabis Policy Center (NCPC) at the University of California, Merced is seeking a talented and qualified Postdoctoral Fellow to collaborate and advance tobacco, e-cigarette, and cannabis behavior and policy research in the San Joaquin Valley region.
Qualified candidates with a Ph.D. in Psychology, Public Health, Sociology, Community Health Sciences, Health/Public Policy, or other related social, behavioral, or population science field are invited to apply. We are specifically seeking a Fellow with demonstrated experience in tobacco, e-cigarette, and/or cannabis research with a preference for candidates with a strong commitment to community-engaged research principles.

QUALIFICATIONS
Basic qualifications
- Ph.D. in Psychology, Public Health, Sociology, Anthropology, Community Health Sciences, Health/Public Policy, or other related social, behavioral, or population science field
- Interest in tobacco, e-cigarette, and/or cannabis behavior or policy research
- Strong methodological and data analysis skills (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods)
- Highly self-motivated individuals who have demonstrated the ability to conduct independent and collaborative scientific research
Preferred qualifications
- Demonstrated evidence of strong contributions to scholarship, including peer-reviewed publications.
- Experience conducting or collaborating on tobacco, e-cigarette, or cannabis research studies, particularly investigations with a community-engaged component.
- Willingness to mentor and supervise undergraduate and graduate research assistants.
