Job Description: Isle Brewers Guild is hiring a Packaging Manager at our Pawtucket Rhode Island facility. This is a full-time position reporting to the VP of Operations. The Packaging Supervisor will execute all activities in every aspect of the Packaging. This is a hands-on position requiring exceptional technical skills including active participation and management of all packaging and cellar equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Direct management of the Packaging team of more than 15 people.Manage all operations to analyze and carbonate finished beer, fill cans and fill kegs for timely release to warehouse.Manage quality assurance testing, sensory testing and GMP documentation of all activities.Work with the other Supervisors to coordinate and prioritize all required production activities (including occasionally assisting in other functional areas of the brewery).Successfully complete initial and ongoing training to ensure compliance with safety regulations and SOP’s.Perform necessary maintenance on equipment as needed.Manage daily status checks and calibrations on all processing equipment to ensure that all equipment is functioning properly, and process parameters are within optimal operating specifications.Manage a daily shift meeting and understand expectations, tasks, and discuss Key Performance Indicators to track performance in Safety, Quality, Cost, and On-time Delivery.Ensure that the Packaging Hall is always clean and organized.Perform Cycle Counts and track appropriate inventory levels of packaging materials, chemicals, personal protective equipment and other production department consumables and equipment.Identify production questions and issues and follow up as needed with management.Report all accidents and safety concerns, respond appropriately to incidents and near misses and assist in required investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and documentation.Be a positive, professional collaborator and first line of contact with Isle Brewers’ multiple brewing partners.Manage ERP system for Packaging Department with focus on timely entry of systems data.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and/or diploma from a recognized brewing training program, and 5 years of directly related experience in a production facility.

Must have packaging or high speed line experienceMust have a successful record managing teams of 5 or more.Computer literacy and experience with internet, Microsoft software programs (word & excel.)Flexible scheduleComputer literacy and experience with internet, Microsoft software programs (word, excel and ideally OBeer or other MRP systems)
