What will you do?
Our Sales Representatives serve as our primary liaison to our retail clients, and play an instrumental role to our account managers, marketing and operations teams. Sales Representatives are responsible for prospecting and closing new business via cold-calling, in-store presentations, and participation in industry trade shows and networking events. In addition, they are responsible for understanding Alpine’s product offerings as well as competitive product offerings. Sales Reps nurture client relationships as well as update and upsell them on new opportunities while ensuring they have the best experience possible. Ideal candidates are driven and ambitious self-starters.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Displays a focused and consistently enthusiastic approach to developing contacts, meeting potential new prospects and networking with cannabis dispensaries and other cannabis industry players to achieve business development and company sales goals
- Fosters relationships within the California Cannabis network, influencing them to promote and buy Alpine products
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of technology, including use of G-suite and ERP software.
- Generates leads and opportunities through professional contacts, dedicated prospecting and cold-calling and drives brand awareness campaigns and lead generation via networking and associations and dispensary demos and product promotions
- Builds strategic opportunities that can generate leads and continually maintains knowledge of customer business issues, cannabis market dynamics, company vision, the competition, sales strategy, as well as products and services
- Stays well networked in the cannabis industry through attending networking and educational events
- Remains up to date on cannabis news and legislation
- Identifies and fosters potential relationships with cannabis project facilitators, project managers, and key people that have high levels of influence or decision-making authority, influencing them to purchase products
- Meets or exceeds sales compensation plan quota
Skills and Requirement
- Minimum one year prior experience with sales or account management required
- Undergraduate degree preferred
- Current relationships with existing CA state-licensed retail buyers a must
- Need to have prior experience in the Cannabis industry
- Startup or small company experience a plus
- Sales methodology training (relationship and value based) forecasting and planning
- Position located in Northern California (San Francisco/Oakland and San Jose/Santa Cruz)
- Proven track record of developing a strategic sales strategy, building new business, and meeting/exceeding quotas
- Responsibility & accountability (you must take ownership of your accounts and all issues related to them)
- Excellent attention to detail (this role will require important data entry so accuracy is critical)
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills, including a willingness to go above and beyond for our customers
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Must have a valid California driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, and insurance
- Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check and DMV driving record check prior to employment
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proficient technical skills including use of MS Office, Google Drive, and CRM software
- A team spirit and helpful attitude
