Lead Laboratory Analyst:
- Minimum Requirements:
BA or BS Degree in Related Science & 2 years relevant experience; or an Associate’s Degree in Related Science & 5 years relevant experience.
Each Analyst is responsible for coordinating with the Laboratory Director and Laboratory QA/QC Manager to provide accurate and timely analytical data, lab tasks, and sampling for reporting to the clients. This is accomplished by:
- From the LIMS, identifying those samples to be tested and performing these analyses according to standard procedure / SOPs.
- Maintains records of all quality activities as documented in SOPs and test methods.
- Handles samples and performing analyses according to SOPs and test methods.
- Keeping an orderly and detailed record of all-chemical data or observations generated from these procedures.
- Performing the routine quality assurance checks and verifying that each run of analyses is within QC limits. This data is kept on raw data sheets along with sample test results. If a QC data point falls outside the limits, the analyst must notify the Lab Director and/or QC Manager prior to proceeding with any further testing.
- Setting up of new test methods, validating methods when applicable, and writing up draft SOPs for submission to the Laboratory Director and QC Manager.
- Responsible for general cleanliness of the work area, maintaining and monitoring equipment.
- Responsible for monitoring of supplies and reagents used in their tests and placing requests for additional supplies on supply order forms
- Each analyst will assist with training of new analysts on procedures that he/she is proficient.
- Answering phones, assisting in office, making kits and other general laboratory tasks.
- Identifies and records nonconformities on Corrective Action Requests.
- Identifies and recording potential nonconformities on Preventive Action Requests.
- Corrects nonconformities and potential nonconformities and improves laboratory and/or quality activities on a continuous basis.
- Deputy to the following positions: In absence of one of the other positions the Laboratory Analyst is responsible for the following positions: Laboratory Analyst, Customer Service and Field Service Technician.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
