The Role
We are seeking a dynamically motivated, detail-oriented Grower Sales Support to support our Sales Department. This position focuses on assisting local growers, communicating issues and concerns to sales department.
Essential Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To
- Provide general admin support to sales department.
- Intake and field phone calls, utilizing great customer service skills.
- Daily interdepartmental communication, working with all levels, including managers.
- Aid our Organic Growers (over 80) on quality products - we will teach you!
- Communicate regularily with Sales Representives and Growers to discuss product details and needs.
- Pay specific attention to detail, special circumstances, notes from sales etc. and follow through on all details.

Required Experience
- Agriculture background a plus: little to no experience okay - we will teach you!
- Proven customer service experience, 1-2 years.

Job Summary:
Position and sell SGS Pharmaceutical services by working with the Business Sector Manager to identify new markets, opportunities and solutions in the Pharmaceutical industry.
Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible for all sales activities, from lead generation through close, in the US and Canada for consulting and advisory services.

Establish a robust pipeline of Pharmaceutical leads with high conversion rates.

Achieve sales targets and ensure all sales activities related to clients and prospects is managed in the CRM.

Maintain and manage a portfolio of clients requiring Pharmaceutical services and ensuring ongoing opportunities and services are identified.
- Provide commercial support to the department including input to tenders and project/contract coordination.
- Leverage existing client base to effectively grow the account and upsell additional services.
Education and Required Skills:

College degree preferred - areas of concentration in marketing or business

Minimum of 3 years experience in Pharmaceutical and/or solution oriented sales
-
Previous experience as a sales person in the accreditation field/ISO sector a highly desirable asset
- Experience at selling “solutions” and/or service type products within a B2B environment at a high level within organizations

Knowledge and experience working in the Pharma, Cosmetics/Personal Care, Cannabis, and Food industry sectors
- Ability to travel as job requires (e.g., regional, national, short notice, planned, etc.)

Fluent in English (i.e., written & oral), Bilingual in Spanish an asset but not required.
- Technical selling skills & product knowledge in sector areas (e.g., Quality, Environmental, etc.).

Work week: Monday-Friday
SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Grower Accounting Supervisor, the Grower Accounting Technician is responsible for preparing various reports, payments, account reconciliation, and month-end close duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Backup for daily KOI reports
- Verify daily raw product receipts for accuracy: verify weights, # totes received, average weights per tote, pallet, vendor, grower block and harvester, and tare weights
- Price out purchase orders according to contracts
- Enter harvesting and cooling charges as necessary
- Update the planting schedules on a weekly basis (assign lot numbers) and enter lots in the system
- Send updated planting schedules to harvesters and growers
- Report raw product receipts information to harvesters and growers daily
- Report to the Arizona Department of Ag and to the Leafy Green association and authorize payment
- Resolve any weight issues
- Liaise with growers and harvesters
- Maintains the master files in the system for crops and lots
- Prepares and verifies billing reports to First Street Cooling
- Reviews yield and yield roll up reports for accuracy
- Maintains and distributes a weekly pound report by grower
- Obtains and reviews payables statements from all growers at month end
- Purchase match all payments to growers in accounts payable
- Files daily receiving documents
- Prepare a monthly lb. report for the California Leafy Green Association and report to the Association by the 10th of the month.
- Code CA Leafy Green Numbers by commodity and voucher in the system
- Prepare a monthly cooling reclass report and prepare and enter a journal entry
- Prepare a monthly report of all incoming raw product pounds and cost/lb. by commodity and type
- Maintain product varieties in True leaf Crop Cost Center
- Verify that all receiving from Previous day have block ID’s assigned to them.
- Maintain generic Famous P.O’s used for raw product receipts
- Create Salinas Valley/Imperial Valley/Yuma Pricing Sheets and distribute
- Create OP blocks from Outside purchases under True Leaf blocks.
- Process check run for grower payables
- Enter Freight Charges as necessary
- Conduct tare test for new containers
- Report Daily rejection (if any) to growers
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Associates degree in related field or minimum of 2 years’ experience in the agriculture industry
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and good working knowledge of other Microsoft Office software. Experience and proficiency in database software a plus
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Team player who will exceed assigned responsibilities and assist others to reach objectives
- Native intellectual curiosity and mental stamina
- Strong oral and written communication skills to deliver technical information in an easily understood manner across all departments
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Famous software knowledge a plus
