Job Summary
The primary responsibility of the lab data analyst, is to analyze data from all test methods, using statistical techniques that uphold company, ISO 17025 and NJ CRC requirements. The analyst will be developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality. There will also be expanded training for the analyst, in regard to metrology statistics and secondary quality assurance responsibilities in support of lab operations. The lab data analyst will contribute towards the successful completion of departmental initiatives.
Role and Responsibilities
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using Excel for analyzing datasets
- Strong analytical chemistry knowledge with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of data in accordance with company, ISO 17025, and state regulatory guidelines.
- Ability to provide test results to customers on a consistent and timely basis
- Assist Lab Director in quality assurance and metrology tracking to support laboratory operations
- Report any deviations and/or nonconformities to Lab Director
- Follow validated procedures implemented by Lab Director
- Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
- Proficient in oral and written communication, critical thinking, and problem solving
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Motivated by milestone achievements and accomplishments for personal/professional growth and the success of the business team as a whole
- Maintain up to date knowledge of the cannabis industry with a focus on science and technology
- Collaborate across job functions and scientific disciplines to adjust analytical approaches accordingly.
- Additional duties as needed
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in a related technical discipline (Master’s preferred)
- Knowledge of ISO 17025 is preferred
- You are a fast learner, self-starter, mature, personable, and relates well to people at all levels
