SUMMARY
The Patient Care Specialist will be focused on providing a compassionate experience for patients and caregivers seeking relief from serious illnesses through medical cannabis as well as assisting Management in daily operational, clerical tasks, and ensuring compliance with all state regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet and establish rapport with customers--get to know them and seek to understand their interest in cannabis medicine:
- Introducing first-time patients to the dispensary
- Inform guests of specials
- Inform guests of special events
- Encourage email and text-blast sign up
- Arranges payment terms in accordance with established guidelines.
- Assist patients in identifying the medicines and methods of medication that best fit their individual needs:
- Maintain established average sales goals
- Maintain established return rate goals.
- Adhere to strict distribution processes and maintain a professional and safe environment for customers and coworkers.
- Gather and process required patient documents and information, and perform detailed verification while maintaining client confidentiality:
- Patient Sign Up
- Patient Check In
- Patient Renewals
- Continue to enhance your knowledge of medical cannabis, and continually hone your ability to explain and recommend treatment procedures and product uses per Pharmacist recommendations.
- Demonstrate outstanding customer service and sales skills by answering or appropriately directing questions and concerns
- Unpack, sort, count and label merchandise as directed, including items requiring special handling or refrigeration.
- Maintain cleanliness of the facility.
- Perform tasks on opening/closing checklist.
- Assist Pharmacist as needed for consultation management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- High School diploma or GED diploma
- Two to three years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Associate degree in health care field preferred but not required.
- Sales Experience.
- Patient Care Experience
- Must be friendly, outgoing, trustworthy, dependable, and hardworking.
- Must be able to provide exemplary customer service, and represent the business with pride.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have no felony convictions.
- Must comply with a drug screening and extensive background check.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary, and stock shelves.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This job operates in a professional office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

A Tree Trimmer Saw Operator I performs various duties related to right of way clearing and re-clearing; safely cuts, piles, sprays, and disposes of trees and brush as necessary to maintain adequate right of way clearance for power lines.
In this position, you will be given the opportunity to work alongside peers who are versatile, enthusiastic, and strive to push forward AECI’s mission.
Responsibilities:
- Drives/operates ROW vehicles and equipment as necessary to safely and efficiently complete tasks and projects.
- Performs daily inspection and maintenance of chainsaws and safety equipment; must be able to safely and efficiently operate chainsaws. Notifies supervisor in the event of safety hazards.
- Performs right of way clearing duties, to include the following: bucket work, climbing work, ground clearing, cutting, chipping, piling, burning, and other disposal of brush.
- Cuts danger trees and has the ability to rope and direct trees away from hazards; able to work in bucket truck under supervision of an operator helping trim or remove debris in order to provide adequate clearance.
- Inspects right of way in front of equipment to flag obstacles. (i.e.: phone pedestals, guy wire, water and gas meters, etc.).
- Performs traffic control duties around work area as needed and abides by all state and federal D.O.T. and local regulations.
- Must understand general safety rules and policies and promote good relations with other crew members, patron cooperatives, and the general public.
- Reports work related problems, material or supply needs and equipment to crew Foreman.
- The ability to handle stress and work well with others are essential functions of this position.
- In pursuant of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act 593, this position is a designated safety-sensitive position according to AECC/AECI standards and processes.
- As a condition of employment, this position requires a post – offer, pre-employment Fitness for Duty Exam, and DOT Physical.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Able to work in outside or inside working environment, wherein there are potentially hazardous working conditions and life-threatening situations exist (fire, chemical, moving mechanical parts, electrical sources, fumes, airborne particles, heights, dangerous people, etc.).
- Able to work in extreme heat or cold
- Able to work in extremely loud areas
- Able to perform highly repetitive and physical functions
- Must be able to travel to various locations and stay overnight as required to complete work assignments
- Must be able to work extra hours when necessary and report to work whenever needed during non-scheduled working periods
- Training specified in 29 CFR 1910.269(a)(1)(i)(E)
