The successful candidate for this role should possess excellent communication skills, superior knowledge of business functions, exceptional budgeting, and finance skills, and strong leadership qualities. The VP of Operations will account for all operational activities, support staff development and enhance efficiency.
VP Operations Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily business operations in both production and administrative areas
- Manufacturing supervision
- Production scheduling
- Manage Certifications – UL, Intertek, CE
- MRP systems
- QC systems and procedures
- CAD operations
- Understanding of PCB Fabrication and Assembly
- Create and maintain budgets
- Help set policies and processes
- Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
- Oversee recruitment and training of new employees
- Evaluate and improve operations
- Direct the employee assessment process
- Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
VP Operations Requirements:
- Proven executive experience
- Proactive nature & entrepreneurial spirit
- Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)

The ideal candidate assists in a variety of tasks, including, but not limited, to the following:
- Bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliation of accounts and payroll (tax experience, including state taxes a plus)
- Experience in QuickBooks required (a skills assessment test will be part of the interview process)
- Maintaining timely correspondence with customers via email and phone, order processing
The ideal candidate is organized, a self-starter and works well both independently and in a team setting.
The position is flexible part-time / full-time, 20-40 hours/week. This is not a remote or hybrid position. Compensation is dependent on experience.

Necessary Skills:

Accounting / QuickBooks:
- Record all fees associated with ecommerce site and credit card processing platform
- Mail and file company bills
- Manage AP invoice entry and payments; Manage AR cash receipts, credits, debits, and returns.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Assist with preparation of quarterly and year-end taxes and financials
- Complete month end reports
- Generate interim QuickBooks (QB) financial statements (not necessary, but would be a bonus)
- Prepare biweekly payroll
- Pay monthly / quarterly taxes
- File quarterly tax documents
General Responsibilities:
- Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers
- Have a keen eye for detail
- Process orders from cloud-based ecommerce site (Shopify)
- Provide shipping department with orders and shipping documents
- Communicate any special shipping requirements on orders to shipping team
- Complete order documentation after shipment
- Develop and maintain a knowledge base of the evolving products and services
- Filing documents; maintain file system
- Participate in ongoing review and improvement of procedures and proc
