Two Guys from Woodbridge is an 11,000 square ft organic hydroponic greenhouse growing leafy greens, microgreens, herbs, and edible flowers. We distribute our produce at storefronts in CT and farmers' markets in CT and NYC. We have a passion for food, our environment, and growing high-quality produce. Job Description & Requirements

We are a fast-paced, fast-growing hydroponic farm in Hamden, CT. We are looking for farmers to assist in all aspects of production, including seeding, transplanting, harvesting, packaging, and cleaning daily. If interested, training and working at the farmers market on Saturday may be included.

• Participate in day to day production to grow leafy greens and microgreens: verifying quality of products, trimming, packaging, labeling, weighing, and boxing.
• Helping to pack plants into sleeves and pack for stores and market.
• Helping with moving and cleaning channels for plants in the greenhouse.
• Occasionally working at the farmers market, talking to customers, making sales.
• Clean containers and equipment as needed.
• Coordinate with the greenhouse manager on daily tasks and assignments.

We are looking for candidates who…

• Are passionate about plants
• Are excited to be a part of the Greenhouse team, working in a fast-paced production environment
• Are eager to grow in their knowledge of plants and plant maintenance
• Are able to lift 25-50lb. without difficulty bend, squat, and stand for extended periods
• Are able to work in different temperature, and climates
• Can work both independently and within a team while communicating effectively

Qualifications

• US work authorization (Required)
• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Typical work hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm -Hours may extend to 6:00 pm during peak times

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Hamden, CT 06518: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
